Just get custom tune. Adds 80 whp and raises redline to 6500. No need to go higher. I’ve not had issue w/ trunk. Seatbelt chime can easily be turned off and there are simple fixes for the other stuff.

WTF with these videos ? Try the 10,000 thousand things I hate about catching the bus-as many people have to do in the real world. Get an automatic next time You’ve had your hands on the gear shift to long.

does it stay off when you restart the car? Hondas/Acuras do but I once read that Mazda does not.
@bmanboogie4 ай бұрын
@@baldygrey2779 on my Ascent, it does stay from the last setting you left it before you turn off the car. The features is pretty much the same so I would think so. Also, its just a press of a button on the steering wheel anyway.

First problem is not an issue, Subaru tuned it to be linear and they have many upgrades you can do, make sure you do the upgrades correctly so not to blame Subaru for something you created. For the redline issue learn how to shift quickly, that’s part of the fun. As for problem number 2, that never happened to me, loose weight or don’t wear your pants so tight. As for the big display is a big plus. The menu is really not that complicated and ez to use. Refer to your owners manual if you can’t figure it out. As for the seatbelt issue, really, just clip the belt in the on position before you get in the car.

To disable the seatbelt chime. Turn the key in the ignition to "on", the spot just before starting the engine. (Push to start, press the on button twice with your foot off the brake) Buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 20 times within 30 seconds. Immediately take the key out of the ignition. Enjoy your chime-less Subaru :) You only have to do this once and the chime is off for good. Unless your battery dies. Also, you can toggle the chime on/off by following the same instructions.

Just received my 2024 WRX Limited in gray last month and got through the first 1000m break in period staying under 4k running the car at variable speeds…normal driving. I don’t think I will have issues at all with the redline, pushing the car hard yesterday. Thanks for the trunk tip. The others complaints are not concerning to me.

biggest issue for me is that massive tablet screen. Subaru went all in on implementing that into all of their cars. Personally I think it's a mistake. Would have loved to see a regular touch screen up top with physical controls below. Passed on this car for this reason alone.

oh, and also, you CAN disable the seat belt chime. I did it in my BRZ and is was easy - took twenty seconds. there are some KZbin videos on this subject.

The redline can be bumped up with tune but most tuners are only doing 6500 some do 7k but I heard you should do better valve springs for 7k an even tho the rev limit less than last gen it makes power longer than last gen that's why it's low max hp is at 5600 rpms an then the car starts bleeding off boost

Seatbelt chime isn't new. My 2017 did that once you start moving. I miss it sometimes (not the chime, the car).

complaining about menus is my biggest issue with almost any car these days. I just hate them and not only are they complicated and a pain in the butt, but they are all different. Worse yet is if you rent a car these days. Good luck getting anything to work unless you read the manual, which, of course is not in a rental car. if you don't like the Subaru's menus and submenus, try a new BMW - it is MUCH worse! Or you could buy a '69 Camaro; it doesn't have any of that! haha

Yea i had a 20 mustang gt with a digital screen. I couldnt find anything in the menus. I had to google how to find stuff every single time. It was annoying AF.

You fellas are really nitpicking. Who else will sell you a Japan-built, AWD sport compact with a manual transmission for a relative bargain? The only other choice is a GR Corolla, admittedly a better car but significantly more expensive.

I have a '22 Premium. I agree it has the absolute worst seat belt warning. Ever. I turned mine off. Its easy but only works for the drivers seat. I know when to wear my belt- I resent SOA subjecting me to that. My '22 has none of those electronic nannies on my car. Thats one of the main reasons I bought one when ai did. Ive never accidentally pocket-opened my trunk. It's just you two guys.
