I like mobile ordering but we had one issue. My kids have food sensitivities and normally we can talk to the order taker about them. We did not find that possible with mobile. Maybe we were just not that savvy with it. I admit I had the sock issue to. Sigh. On the upside I now am the proud owner of a pair of Velocicoaster socks.
@fudge_factor
@fudge_factor Жыл бұрын
I know you can customize your order on most spots, but I doubt that’s what you are referring to when you say food sensitivities. Great info! I feel ya on the first visit. I loved Universal but, we ran around crazy.. we didn’t do hardly any rides and it all just felt so overwhelming. I guess I thought in my head that I probably would never go back 🤣. It’s was so much better after a couple visits and being able to relax and knowing what you’re doing. I always make reservations as soon as they open them online. Which is about 6 months in advance 😂 super excited also! I never had to make reservations until after it opened back up from the Covid closure. The parks weren’t near as busy as they are now. Social media I believe has played a big roll in Universal’s success and I’m here for it! 🎉

cute couple, good info. but the audio hurt my ears. maybe it's just my ears or my phone speaker but I suggest not using a room with no sound dampening. Hard surfaces really bounce. maybe place microphone closer to your mouths and speak more quietly with less peaks of excited voice moments

Your tip #2...definitely! Day one is "Take it in" day. Get the lay of the land. If you pass a ride you want to ride and it has a low wait time, do it! Otherwise, watch street shows, find good snacks, locate each and every coke freestyle machine, stand in diagon Alley for an hour, and look up at all the details... whatever. But do not...DO NOT rush through it. You only have one first day at Universal...enjoy it!

@Fudge Factor hydrate, eat, ride water rides last, take an extra pair of socks to the parks with you, don't skip "kiddie rides" (they are really cute and the .Seuss trolly train ride gives some good views) Most importantly...be in the moment. Don't live on your phone. Catch pics of your kiddo interacting with cat in the hat, be willing to be silly and make a memory.

Everyone always asks about transportation, just punch in your destination in both Uber and Lyft apps, and just go with whichever is cheapest
@fudge_factor

Exactly. That’s kind of what we were getting at. We probably should’ve just said ‘ride share’ app over uber. It’s so much simpler than the super start shuttle
@janevonelling7514
@janevonelling7514 Жыл бұрын
@@fudge_factor This is good advice. Our first two visits, the Super Star Shuttle left really quickly and we were very pleased, but the pick up time to take us back to the airport was stressful. The third time, we took our entire family-kids and grandkids (total 14) and we sat in the Shuttle FOREVER which gave us less than two hours in the park on our first day! We decided right then we would use a ride share both ways on our next visit.

Uber? No thank you. Is it faster? Probably, but you're riding in someone's personal vehicle assuming they are a qualified driver and the vehicle is "cleaned" regularly. Not only that, for one or two people, maybe, but for 4 adults with luggage? nope... Your transportation ideas are typical for millennials (Uber or Lyft), but for some of us, no thanks! Otherwise, good advice!
