There was once a rumor a very long time ago (early 2000s) about a Ride coming to islands of adventure that featured a huge castle and was extremely similar to the concept of monsters unchained. I believed they transformed this initial idea into Forbidden Journey once they acquired the harry potter IP. This would also explain the scariness of Forbidden Journey. I say this to say I believe that monsters unchained is a ride that is over 20 years in the making and now having experience with the brand new ride system that was used in forbidden journey, Universal will absolutely blow us away with this ride.

I like what you said about the Yoshi ride: It’s nice to have a chill but also highly themed ride made for everyone! I feel like theme parks mostly tend to create chill ride experiences for small children or families, but there are so many adults who don’t want to ride roller coasters, which means lots of guests get stuck doing slow moving indoor dark rides that are geared towards kids. I hope in the future theme parks think about this further and push to have even more super fun and immersive chill rides for all ages (i.e. Navi River Journey, Soarin, Hogwarts Express, etc.) because whether you’ve got a health condition that prevents you from riding the Velocicoaster or you’re just scared, adults need variety!

Can't wait for the Ministry of Magic ride!! It supposedly uses a similar ride vehicle to Spiderman, but with a larger vehicle and a massive lift base. Apparently the ride cars look like Tower of Terror vehicles, and will be able to move up and down about 20ft.

Dueling Dragons was unbelievable when it did duel. Was sad to see it go, but its replacement is even better imo. The fact you didn't rank Star Dust Racers at #1 is shocking. That coaster has the potential to be a top 10 coaster in the world once it opens. I'm so glad I live only an hr and half from the park. We will definitely be getting a premium tier season pass for its opening year. Drove by the park 2 weeks ago and was just blown away by the scale of this park. Not to mention all 3 hotels look unbelievable especially the one that connected to the park. The dark universe looks insane and is my most anticipated portal. As a Florida native I'm so glad Epic is coming soon. That way, when everyone is at Epic, I can hopefully enjoy Islands of Adventure with fewer crowds.

Another thing that Star Dust Racers will be able to do is light up at night. It won’t be the tracks but the ride carts. But I agree that the park will bring more people and new park attendances from people who have yet to attend any kind of amusement park. I went to the Island of Adventure when Dueling Dragons was still in operation, but my brother went on it without me and now I’m regretting not trying it.

I visited the Universal Parks in June for the first time since 2005 (I'm from PA less than 20 minutes from Hersheypark). I learned about Epic Universe and wished to have done the trip in 2025. I doubt I'll have enough money to go to Orlando back-to-back years, but will plan for it within the next 3-5 years. It looks amazing, especially StarDust Racers. Sorry you never got the chance to ride Dueling Dragons: Fire and Ice. I rode it in 2005 on the Fire track. To this day it is/was the most intense B&M invert I've ever ridden and I've been on a good bit of them. The dueling aspect was legendary. I miss that coaster so much. StarDust Racers is aesthetically beautiful to look at & should be an amazing experience. Nintendo World is what I'm most excited about as I grew up with that & Mario Kart. The theming looks top notch for all the worlds.

Sorry for correcting this info, but I experienced it multiple times: in Crush's Coaster in Disneyland Paris the carts don't spin depending on gravity or weight, they just tilt the way they are supposed to. You just randomly happen to face front or backwards at the beginning and during the ride, while spinning in a set way 😊😊

We went to Universal for the first time in 2011 (I took my daughter for her 11th bday) and we got to ride the dragons while they still dueled! Was so sad when they stopped and even sadder when they were torn down. I do love Hagrid's, but I honestly liked Dueling Dragons more.

If Stardust Racers is even half as good as my memories of original Dueling Dragons, I am gonna ride it so many times! Considering I only live like an hour away from the parks, it's a little embarrassing how much I just live vicariously through your channel instead of visiting them, but I think Epic Universe is gonna change that and actually get me out there again. I also had recently seen someone very negatively mention the Mario Kart ride from when they did it in California but didn't go into detail, and seeing your thoughts on it helps explain why they hated it. I was absolutely expecting a fast, frenetic ride, so to hear it goes slow is antithetical to the very idea of doing a ride based on that game.

I was disappointed in that ride lol. I wished it was a fast ride as he said, like an immersive, actual racetrack sort of thing. Instead, it was moving along very slowly, shooting digital shells around. Ngl, playing the game at home would’ve been more fun. But it’s probably entertaining enough for young kids

I am so excited for so many rides but I am someone with a ton of general ride anxiety. It took a lot for me to desensitize myself to Gringotts and I get very scared of new rides and the “unknown”. I am going to go try to work up my tolerance and do some rides at Islands I haven’t before to try to work my way up so I’ll be less scared. I want to ride most of these (not stardust) but I don’t want to have a panic attack 😂

I've been on the Bricksburg water ride and I got drenched. It was a rainy day so I thought it wouldn't matter since I was already wet but I was wrong. My pants were sopping wet. My daughter who was 4 years old, didn't like the ride. She cried a little after the bucket of water got her soaked. I really hope Fyre drill is not that bad.

i’m soooo excited for epic universe. mainly dark universe. i can’t wait to see what they do with this land and ip. i’m scared for monsters unchained, mainly because we don’t know what it’ll look like. is it going to be more of a universal screen ride or will it actually be animatronic heavy. they say it’ll have animatronics. but how many will there be. i’m super excited and im gonna ride is multiple times (unless it scares me too much the first time) no matter what. overall it’ll be great no matter what.

Stardust Racers had to be changed to Starfall for copyright reasons. I know this video is a couple months old, but did you hear that for the Ministry of Magic ride, the actress who played Umbridge has started acting and doing scenes for that ride since she'll be part of the simulation. That's very exciting. I never go into new parks with any expectations. I just hope that by the time I do get to this park (planning for early Dec 2026), they would have worked out any kinks or issues with these attractions, especially with the Simulation rides. When my family went to Disney World in 2021 for my 40th bday, Rise to the Resistance still broke down and we were there for early access since we were staying at a resort. Thankfully it was working within 30 minutes.

Splash Battles are awesome. I did one called Battle Galleons at Alton Towers and I would call it a top 5 ride at the park. The sets were elaborate on that one and the interactivity makes it so much fun, so I have high hopes for Fyre Drill.

I rode Dueling Dragons like a year after it opened.😃 Omg im so sorry you missed it. There were SO many neair misses with your feet( other people's feet. It had an AMAZING queue. I believe part of it was animated with lights and it told the entire backstory and it was in a castle and it was amazing. If it's any consolation I've never been to any Harry Potter park😢😂❤

6:45 I agree. I hoped that this would have been a roller coaster given how Bowser's castle is tall, menacing, and full of Bowser's army. I could easily picture the ride as a dueling coaster. Mario and Bowser race through the castle. Bowser sabotages Mario's race but Mario finds a way to come out on top. It's so easy to come up with awesome ride ideas for a Mario Kart theme. Nintendo World chose the least exciting ride idea, it's disappointing.

The problem with stardust racers is that it was made by Mack rides so if you’ve been on copperhead strike or any of their intense launch coasters the launches suck there’s no force to the launch so that’s why I’m not too excited for that one cause I rode copperhead strike and wasn’t too impressed

I went on the MarioKart ride, waited in line for hours and was so disappointed lol. I agree with what he said about people maybe expecting it to be a faster kind of ride. I mean I wish it was, it would be more immersive if it was like you physically got put onto a racetrack. Instead, it kinda felt like I was just playing mariokart in the slowest way possible while also having blurry visuals. I can just play it at home

Check out time traveler at silver dollar city in Branson, Missouri. I believe it is the exact same ride system as course of the werewolf. Definitely in the top 5 of my most exited for rides at Epic.

Like Islands of Adventure too many attractions in the open air that will have closures during lighting storms. They really needed to build enclosed show buildings that are not weather impacted. They have a legacy of failures at opening so its good to see them testing the rides hard.
