I was born in 1960..63 yrs old. When I was 38 many thought I was around 18. And that has been the case my whole life. I believe that it's a personal choice for all us beauties to wear what makes us feel awesome and makes us smile when we look into the mirror. These days women in their 50s 60s 70s...we don't look like our mothers did...we look much younger with our longer hair modern attire and healthier eating. Let's ENJOY!!!

I've just turned 70. I have a vintage Burberry skirt that's knee length. I wear it still in winter with knee high boots and black tights. I purchased it in the 80's in Scotland and it's been the best thing I've ever bought.

Just turned 70. I will never play by any rules regarding fashion. I just purchased awesome flowery capris and plan on wearing them as soon as the weather warms up. I wear makeup as I want to even though many say less is more. Never! I have never cared what others think of me. Be yourself!

This is going to be me in 30 years, combat boots since my teens. We can wear whatever, it just becomes more refined because as teens we wore some questionable combos, fashion over function but it was "cute" because that's the charm of youth as society knows they are still learning about themselves. There is nothing non-functional about combat boots.

Eighty-one, and recently my rabbi's wife told me, "Nancy, you are the most stylish woman I know." I have lived on that compliment since. I am on a fixed income, but I shop thrift stores and glean wonderful items from posh Dallas women who donate their clothes to charities. I think, if one has taste and a good knowledge of clothing construction, one can discern the best.

I’m back to wearing heels, but I’m wearing 2-3 inch block heels. I feel comfortable in them and stable. I’m 65 and battle vertigo. I bought 3 prs of booties and 2 prs of mules in varying heel heights and I LOVE them I forgot how much better I look in heels! Thank you Heather for the encouraging tips.

Heather I’m glad you believe no matter what our age or budget we can be stylish and shop your channel. I just really wish you believed that no matter what our size we could be as well. I have watched your channel for some time and NEVER once have I seen you link anything that is available in plus size. Nor have I seen you do content for someone more than a body type similar to yours. Knowledge of Size inclusivity is a must for someone who considers themselves a stylist. IMO

I've stayed much the same weight since I was 18 or so...that way I can revive parts of my wardrobe and don't have to spend ridiculous amounts of money doing it. Things that are out of style go to the back of the wardrobe...it's not as consumerist either.

Because 1 and 70 year olds wear that too😂. And finding channels by fashionable older women showed me I was trying to model myself after people who technically didn't care about fashion or had a different style (i feel like the distinction between "aesthetics" is stronger when you're young, to the point you don't see there are girly girls, Tom boys, goths, menswear enthusiasts, hippies and edgy dressers amongst older women too)

I’m 56 but I look like I’m in my 30’s. I love wearing ripped jeans and the bell bottoms that have come back in! I also like more of the boho type look! I just enjoy having fun with what I’m wearing and I’ve let go of all of the stereotypes that they have said women my age “have” to wear!

This video is more applicable for maybe women over 50 or 60. Many women in their 40’s look fabulous and can wear anything, the key is, wearing clothes that are occasion appropriate. A lot of people don’t know how to wear for different situations

I was wearing my favorite jeans with two rips in them on the knee and one on the thigh. ( I’m 63 years old). Some lady looked at me with such disgust. I couldn’t believe her expression. I ended up sewing the holes with other denim and made them look normal. I looked online at Nordstrom and found jeans that had denim patches with lines of stitches. They are really cute and I still wear them. They are 100% denim cotton and I love the fabric. I have noticed that now you can find jeans that have no stretch in them and without holes in them. Just thought I would share this experience with you. 💕

I appreciate the tips on how to wear a short skirt over 40. Miniskirts generally look good on me, being short and luckily having good legs. But I just resized one to fit that is shorter than my other ones (technically, it's edging on the mircro length). I am definitely wearing it for fall with opaque tights so no chance of flashing panties. But I love the tip about the boots and the jacket on top. What difference it makes! I will wear it with that much more confidence.

The advice at the end is definitely great advice. I learned if I try something on and I don't immediately like it on me or feel good in it then it will just sit in my closet or I will grudgingly wear it just because I spent money on it. Then I am in a grumpy mood all day LOL. I learned if it's not a "YES" right away then don't buy it. I have saved so much time and money sticking to this rule. I love the current trend for baggy soft knit long cardigans - warm and comfie! But like yourself, I wear them as a layer over an elegant fitted shift or knit dress, or my favourite tailored straight leg trousers with same colour tank. And always with lower court shoes (about 2" heel) .

Round toe flats make you look older? No. A stylish loafer with a slightly cropped (oh no!!!) pant can look very youthful and stylish. Shorter, well yeah, if you don't wear a heel you will be shorter. The above comment is one of those "one rule fits all" mottos I hear from you and a lot of influencers that really needs to be given with a lot of caveats (or perhaps a suggestion about how to wear it to not look frumpy). ETA: Your take on the miniskirt (with green jacket/knee-high boots) was spot on.

I do think there is age appropriate and inappropriate clothing. I am 43 and I have changed from my 20s. Colors I like are more neutral and classy. In my earlier clubbing years I loved to show show my belly and wear brighter colors. I feel like now i know what fits (as opposed to too big or too small). I invest in timeless pieces that can last forever. Im the same weight and body shape prior my 2 babies but I am not sure I would wear those outfits that I wore back then lol. I love, love army green because it's the one stunning neutral that's more exciting than others that doesn't wash me out. I'm a *winter* dark eyes, jet black hair and light complexion. Dusky, muted tones look awful on me, l look ill or washed out. So even neutrals like light grey, beige, dusty pink, ivory actually all look terrible on me alone. They must be paired with strong saturated colors on me like black, navy, maroon, olive etc to work

This was so neat. My problem is that I have arthritis in all joints, bad ankles and feet etc. It would be cool if you could do a video for older ladies that can't wear heels at all. Heather I found a great affordable line of high waisted denim in various leg styles Level 99 and Dear John. They’re from LA and prices are $100-120. They come in lots of washes distressed lightly and not distressed. I’ve seen them in Scottsdale. Have you seen them in Dallas? Just passing on as a tip. Another brand I’m going to try is Pistola, they’re $140-150 range.

I love all the looks, my favorite were your thigh high boots with the olive green midi dress! I just stumbled on your you tube and I’m so happy. I’m 57 and always questioning if what I’m wearing is appropriate. I’m a teacher so mainly I’m wearing teacher type clothing, which can be a little boring. My shoes usually need to be flats or athletic shoes. It’s hard for me to feel stylish wearing those kinds of shoes. I always have to be prepared for PE and don’t really have time to change. Thank you for any ideas!

I find a good way to figure out(for comfort) what heels to wear is to stand on your tiptoes and see/figure out how high you can sort of comfortably stand on your tiptoes and get a friend to measure that, heel to floor. It gets difficult for me to walk in, when going for a heel higher than that, my max is about 8/8,5 cm high(except when it has a bit of a platform of course).

I used to wear stilettos. But after have back surgery, I find it hurts my back to wear them. 😪 So after trying different heights of heels, the one's that I feel comfortable in are the 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches. I like my kitten heels. And yes that have the skinny heel and also in between, to chunky heels.

Ist I believe we all have our personal taste and style and that is all that matters it's what how we feel beautiful in Personally I stop denim jeans when I turn fifty except jean in gabardine or twill or genuine black leather straight style almost always with classic tops in black or white plaiñ or in prints and of course turtle necks in fine fabrics like silk rayon cashmere or other always paired with heeled boots pumps straps etc:l am 90 now still sticking to my own style of quiet elegance

I'm a bit confused-with Jean length have heard other influencer say you should show a sliver of skin between the boot and Jean. I live in jeans and love a bootie for winter. Granted I am 62 hutbIm on board with the various styles of jeans to choose from but pairing the bootie with the jean can be tricky

Oh my! We share the same birthday, only I just turned 65. I am a great believer that no woman should ever look older than 45-:) I walk my talk. It really is not that difficult. It's mostly preventative & good maintenance with our skin & hair care, our fitness & health, how we dress & present ourselves to the world & does not have to involve surgeries or injectables. It feels good to hear people say with utter surprise.... You're 65? You sure don't look 65. After all aging is really a state of mind.

I’m turning 75 and I feel the same way you do. I do not look 75. I have not had any work done. I eat well, exercise and have stayed the same size since high school. I wear jeans and black leather moto jackets and cashmere sweaters. I will never wear ripped jeans or with raggy legs. To me it says faux poverty and I don’t want to look like a street person.

In this video I estimate your age at 55+, you might even make someone believe you are a 60+. You say you're turning 50, so you've got a long way to go. I suggest 'stop thinking about fashion and age in one breath' - because it'll make you older in one go. Besides, too much thinking will cause wrinkles, fast aging, tired appearance and so on.
