the "same here" response was really all you needed to know. Back when I was on dating sites many of those guys were corresponding with multiple women at once and would give really short responses. The ones that are worth your time are the ones that give long responses where they address any questions you have and ask their own questions showing interest in you and the first thing you think when you read their response is that they paid attention to what you said and gave you a sincere response.

Hi Heather. I totally subscribe to the belief that God allows things to happen that may disappoint us in order to protect us from a greater disappointment/danger. I even believe that if I’m on the road and have to go back home for something I forgot that that was God’s way of protecting me, so I don’t get upset about it. Heather, when you start your videos you usually say something like “these are just my suggestions take what you like”. That is how you need to take makeup comments. It is just their opinion and does not affect you or your life at all. I have worn makeup since 1970 and now at 67 I still wear makeup my way. And I don’t listen to suggestions about my makeup because I know what makes me feel I look my best. And that is all that matters, is your reaction to how you look and feel and you look beautiful and you obviously feel it because it shows. Great video and so glad you didn’t go out with the guy.

Heather, my friend, YOU are the prize. Not the guy. I agree with you that God was protecting you, here is more reality for you- we can’t ask God for help if we’re not willing to move our own feet. And you should have NEVER texted him to tell him that you enjoyed the conversation and that you were looking forward to your date on Saturday. There was something inside of you that was already bubbling to the surface, some kind of insecurity which motivated you to text him and confirm feelings. I have never actually tried cashmere. I guess I should try!! I get lash extensions and I am 48. I have had people tell me they are to big but I have never had great lashes so I love them. It is my thing I do for myself weekly is get lashes. Sounds like you dodged a bullet with the new guy. I love your make up by the way!

You did everything correctly, sending a few texts before the date is just fine, always follow up the day of your planned date to ensure you don’t get stood up, also I’d send out a group text to your friends that you trust to see if they know(of) the guy you’re talking to in case that comes up again. Your makeup is lovely! Wish women would stop being so hypercritical of every god dam thing, especially backhanded compliments.

Why do you care so much about what you think others think of you? Men don’t care about deep girl talk conversations. It’s work, sports, family. High value men are usually thinking of the above and don’t need to articulate like women. You have your girlfriends for nonsense chatter. Also late in Life relationships could be so hard because of your baggage and his. You are successful, beautiful, single, why not be more of a man. Just date and have fun. When it’s done it’s done. At your age a long term relationship might take a loooong time to find. Chill girl. Turn the tables just have fun guys don’t want to hear about your day unless they ask and even then it’s not that sincere. Keep to a sentence before they check out. Girls girls girls……Quince is cheap for a reason. Their cashmere is thin & pill up after two wears. The silk tears very quickly. Overall, bad quality. I’ve retuned everything I’ve ever ordered.
