Day before huge May 21. I have currently 220 miles on my C8. That is what? Roughly 8 miles per day in the C8.

Mike, One thing I don’t understand is, why you can’t disable the vehicle while it’s running to say, go into a gas station and get something in the winter and leave it running? Yes, you can RE start it with the Remote Start Button & it’s secure but, not while it’s running. (Unless that’s changed now). I had an Avital alarm in my Sierra that, while running, you could press the RS button, take the key out & leave the truck. If someone were to get in it, it would kill the engine the second the brake pedal was pressed!! I loved that feature yet, still don’t understand why it’s not available in vehicles now. And this alarm system was a 2008 in a 02’ truck!!!! Please let us know if that can be accomplished with the 20’. As I understand, if it’s running & you still have the key, it can still be stolen!

You can do burn outs. Hold both paddles to engages the clutch, rev it up and release the paddles then lightly get on the brake to do a standing burn out

Great job! I Got one more for you that you missed. You can also Open the windows with the remote! By holding down the unlock button on the remote. Sadly there is no way to close them with the remote.... at least I haven't found a way yet. Keep up the great content.

2:45 It's the same in my Tesla Model 3...except I just hit the door release button and it goes into park by itself, so 1 button vs 2 for the corvette (engine start/stop button + door release)

It's only if you let it run the full start time an shuts off . You can only start it once more if it runs for the desired time an key isn't introduced 2nd time an runs full time cycle once it shuts off 2nd time it won't start till start with key

Love the video but that "safety feature" where if the car is in drive (D) and you can press the (start/stop) button, please don't encourage that... Most manufacturers that have this type of selector whether it's push button or rotary knob may or may not automatically put the vehicle in park. I get the c8 Corvette puts it in park, after you push the (start/stop button) which is great. But I seen/heard accidents happen to people due to cars rolling off driveways and hitting people or property, by not selecting/putting the car in park 1st then turning off the car. I know this comment may sound lame but I am just giving you a heads-up...!!! Love your videos and your channel keep up the good work...!!! 👍👍👍

If you are in drive or reverse and pull up to a stop and remove your seat belt and open the drivers door and hop out WITHOUT putting the car in park or pushing the start stop button it will automatically shift to park so as not to damage the car Steve Luck The Southern Maryland Car Guy

A lot of these features are on other vehicles so its not really a big surprise the shut off feature so you don't have to put it in park BMW has been doing that manual mode same as my CTS V corvette older models had a skip shift eliminator so you know when to shift. great video but these aren't secret features if you seen them on other cars.

They have a few for sale in Texas as of yesterday due to people not being able to pay for them I asked the sales man over email some questions id like you to clear up if possible. I mostly wanted to know if i buy the C8 from them which has the black trident wheel option already on the car on their online showroom do I also get the original wheels it came with because I know those black ones where put on after the car arrived ? He said no , those are the upgraded option and the only set of wheels the car comes with not both sets which sounds weird because from all the videos I have seen you get to keep the original regular ones as well am I wrong ? Just wanted to know because there are dealerships just keeping the original wheels and acting like because the tridents where upgrades they came on the car like that .

Make that six things, except that you wouldn't know this. Turns out, that various elements on the C8 start shutting down without a proper warning being shown on the screen. That is very specifically, the battery having been given to the owner with the car, without the battery first being brought up to full charge! The result is that out of the blue, during the first six months, batteries start to fail. The car detects less amps and less cranking power and less volts and it then goes into a "limp mode" with regard to power. The car starts, but the infotainment center, for example stops working. The audio on the directional signals might stop working. The signals work but the loud audio of them doesn't because they are part of the infotainment center. The back up camera works because the brain in the infotainment center is by-passed for the back up camera. Each car is individual. Unlike what Mikes says, you do need the battery protection package; however you just put it into the aux. 12 V socket. You do not need to clamp it to the battery. Even a day or two without driving the corvette means you should be charging it if you want the longest performance from your battery in your C8. And, that's the truth!! AF

I incorrectly speculated that if there is one of these long-storage Corvettes with eventual early battery death problem, that it probably would turn up within six months. As it turned out, my battery problem turned up within six weeks. The dealer warranted the battery completely and found that this original batter was a piece of toast. Nice catch. Now let me mention something to you. The car has been out a lot longer than two months. Looks like we both do not check the dates. At the same time, as a Mike Davenport might say, the real problem is what is important here and not so much the precise exact details. I recall from your videos that you had taken precautions not to have your personal order cancelled and wisely so. You showed us things like wheel options and installation. You mentioned the second window sticker with a change, (that I haven't run into lately) a Window Sticker with a transmission made in USA). It was so educational to learn how to get yourself in trouble and not get your C8 coupe off the line in time because you ordered an option like, "Rapid Blue," that was to come off later in the production time line. Clearly I like your very informative vlogs and all the fun you have in selling Corvettes and educating your clients/customers as well as those who just tune in to try to learn something new from your channel. Hey Chevy dude, I went to Chevy yesterday and tried to buy 2019 Camaro SS 1LE but they are not flexible on the prices. They won't give me advertised prices but up the price instead defeating the purpose of 84 for 0% and claim gm won't allow lower prices.
