My decade old Nissan Rogue had same problem. You can do the Home Depot mod by getting some mesh metal sheets and zip tying it down there. Does great job protecting. After 13 years it looks way better than yours. That’s crazy how much pebble damage on your new car. I practically have zero indentations if any.

I got on the wait list at Kerbeck Corvette in June of 2019. I received I low allocation number with them (145). My car was built in the second week of production in February 2020 and I took delivery of it at my local dealership here in CA the second week of March 2020. Kerbeck does not charge one cent over sticker. On new model Corvettes or limited availability of such, it is all in the allocation numbers game and Kerbeck is king of huge allocation slots. As far as insurance I have never seen anyone beat Grundy Insurance . I pay $860 per year with $0 deductible. I did finance with my dealer, no negotiating necessary. They gave me 2.65% thru PNC bank who they do business with. Not trying to brag here just trying to give your followers alternative information. Thanks for the video!!!

Kerbeck Corvette is a great dealer. I was trying to buy a 2005 C6 in September 2004 and the Washington DC area dealers wanted $10,000 over MSRP. I found Kerbeck's website and called them. The salesman said he could get me a fully loaded 3LT for MSRP in 2 weeks all he needed was a $1,000 deposit. Needless to say they got a check and I drove back to Virginia in my new C6. I still have it. Oh, and before I drove off their lot, the owner and a bunch of their staff came out and thanked me for buying it.

Great vid. Good tips in here and some stuff I didn't know even a month into owning. One thing I figured out on mine: No need for a dash cam though if you have the PDR - just put a big enough SDcard in the slot and leave it to constantly record. That way you have footage should any crash/incident occur. Big capacity SD cards are cheap at Microcenter atm. That's what I did. Keep up the good content!

Per Road & Track regarding the side mirrors: Why are the two sides different? Well, it all comes down to visibility, obviously. Because the rear haunches on the new C8 house things like cooling apparatuses, they stick out from the body a whole lot. That means the mirrors have to reach far enough to see around them. Because the driver's side mirror sits close to the driver at an acute angle, it doesn't need to stand out much to see behind the car. The passenger side is viewed farther away, so engineers probably wanted to give drivers a clearer, more direct mirror location to work with. We reached out to a Chevy spokesperson for some insight, and they told us that in addition to visibility purposes, the differing lengths are also required to meet some international laws.
@royalway123 жыл бұрын
A lot of drivers side and passenger side mirrors measure differently. That's because of the severely different rearward angles from a close mirror, as opposed to a far mirror.

They don’t cover the rads because they know people will red line the car constantly. The minute one car overheats there’s gonna be a lawsuit for the compromised cooling performance and then a massive recall is underway. The reason for the size difference in side view mirrors comes down to the driver's seating position. In order to see around the C8's enormously-flared rear fenders from the hunkered-down driver's seat, the 2020 Corvette has a longer mirror stalk on the passenger side.

Thanks for pointing out that radiator issue. The Porsche 718 Cayman has a similar issue with the radiator getting damaged from the car sucking things into it and it being so low. @@Cokie907 touring laps is $300 IIRC. we did "touring laps" behind the instructor and this referenced C8. My first time driving the track and first time with "Valerie" on the track ... so some clear newb errors ... but it was FUN. I can take the jabs ... throw 'em on there (though I'll delete profanity laced comments) Well worth the $100 I paid to drive my Z. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGe2g41oqrh6aZo

@@timcaffell6330 Most likely, an out-the-door Z06 will be $120,000. Most people can't even come close to fully utilizing even 300+ horsepower on the street, especially near big cities. Bragging rights are fun, though.

Good points in your video, especially the things that are not being discussed because of the novelty factor right now. Chevrolet made some very good features such as the soft close engine cover, the visible engine bay and power lift GPS front end. Regrettably, Chevrolet chose to add a Fiero type golf bag trunk in what could have otherwise been a real exotic, but instead chose that off putting rear end. If not for the golf bag trunk, they could have employed a better looking rear with exhaust pipes in the center and up higher. Compare it with most any Ferrari, McLaren or the Ford GT,.......... but really no comparison. I hope Chevy rethinks this rear end and makes significant changes because it is on the level of the C4 and that's not too good.

Dont forget to mention that the trunk has open vents on the back that pools water when it rains or wash your car

Spend $72,0000 for the 'Vette -- then $89 for the missing part. Typical GM thinking.

Holy crap, exposed radiator city! I'd head to the hardware store the VERY NEXT DAY after buying it and get some decent mesh to protect those mofos! What gets into GM? They make an almost perfect thing, and then diminish it in a ridiculous cheap-o way! Remember the numerous failed ignition switches? Thanks for showing this!
