The X100 chassis had 3 cars built on it, The Mark II, Chaser, and Cresta, The G or JZ before JZX is the engine base while the number after is the chassis code. both the mark 2 and chaser 100's share the same modeling and badging for the most part, including Tourer S and Tourer V models. while the Cresta has different naming its overall the same for each. The GX and Grande models were sold with tan or grey interior while the JZ, Tourer S, Tourer V, and Roulant G (Cresta) models were sold with black interior with carbon trims.

With Tourer Vs, on the druver side, use the key to unlock the door but hold it in that position for a few seconds. It unlocks the doors and puts the window down on the driver side. Hold the key to lock and window goes up. Middle cup holder is a option for the car that's getting hard to find. The oscillating A/C vents are only in the Tourer V. 🤙🏾

The middle cup holder is useless. It only holds small cans of Japanese coffee, akin to the Starbuck's expresso double shot. I removed my center cup holder and now it can hold two cans of monster.

YOOOO so glad you guys finally got a jzx100! I'm in New Zealand and we've had these cars for so long! I've had 2 chasers and currently have a Mark II so huge fan of the cars too You guys are right, the Chaser was designed to be more sporty, the mark II in the middle and Cresta as the luxury spec. However, they're all exactly the same interior wise. The differences were generally in the trim between the Tourer V, Grande, Tourer S ETC They did have little extra options though, like sunroof, the woodgrain/carbon fiber trim, some had the TRD package And then on top of that you've got the series 1 and series 2 variants amongst them. Its like a flagship car with so many different options for the Japanese old boys. Nek minnut drifted by dumfuks like us LOL

Hi there) Greeting from Moscow. I also own Chaser 100 (2001) but Grande version with 1G-FE engine. But the rest installed from Tourer V. All Brakes, rear subframe, rear stabilizer + silent blocks in the rear levers from supra, car interior like yours ...so on) As far as i know the top version after tourer V was TRD version and so called anniversary versions with black lines interior and black floor and doors. There's TRD catalogue for Chaser. One of the things you might dont know - if you put the key in front doors closed and turn it left or right side and hold it in this position the windows will close and open. Try it. But maybe you already know bout it. Peace!

put the key in the driver door and hold it to the left couple seconds and right for couple seconds😘. also push the climate knob and it will tell you the temp outside.

Couple other fun things that I haven't seen mentioned yet: - S1 cars had dark grey interior and the stripey door cards/seats, and S2 had full black interior with the weird maze patterns. The carbon trims were only available on the Tourer S and V models, everything else got woodgrain EXCEPT the Chaser Tourer V "Special Package" which had grey seats and door trims with no patterns, and dark woodgrain trim instead of carbon - Chaser and Mark II have pillarless doors, whereas Cresta has full framed windows for better sound deadening (luxury things) - The JZX chassis shares a few components with the Altezza/IS300 but its not the same platform. The Altezza platform is almost identical underneath to the later JZX110 Mark II and Verossa, as well as the JZS171 Crowns. Those are completely interchangeable with suspension, brakes, diff etc, and featured the latest version of the 1JZ-GTE VVTI with electronic throttle body etc. Love the video guys! All the way from NZ, where I've also got a built Chaser that I've had almost 5 years 🙌🏻

Some of the front seats, at least mine, have adjustable lumbar support! Toyota put a little inflatable bag inside the seats that adjusts the center of seat kind of like a high end office chair!

I don't know if your car has this feature but my Jzx100 mark2 can automatically roll the drivers window down when using the key to unlock the door just by holding it in the unlock position.

the chaser shares majority front suspension parts on the is300, and same axles. so stock up on them. you can do ls400 front brake swap to get bigger brakes. and as for rear brakes on jzx100 tourerv, they are chassis specific. so can only get them from japan or import from the aussies for some other brand

​@@liamgilmore9262 they did come out with a 4SFE, but it was very uncommon to see. Technically an SX100 chassis code, and was only a 1.8L. That'll be the only 4cyl option they came out from the factory with. However, Toyota did build a JTCC racecar that featured a highly built 3SGE rather than the 1JZ due to weight savings and regulations I believe
