the number 1 prepping thing to do is to get healthy, not being medication dependent and being able to walk 5 miles ...saves money and fear and time and improves your life...i personal am learning to fast for extended periods to train my body to not cope with stressful situations.

I just went all in at one time as far as prepping food and water/purification, medical and emergency tools. Now I'm buying bigger items such as solar generator, small fridge/freezer, a biomass oven, and multiple ways to cook inside and out. I continue to stock $500 from Sam's every month and a lot more from MyPatriot every month. Started a garden. Thankful for an inheritance which I've wisely used to do all of this. Thanks for all of your tips and tricks😃

I got the Delta Max 2 and love it JR. I then added an extra battery and 400 watt solar panel kit. I sleep a lot better knowing I have reliable (and silent) backup power 😊

Thank you for another very informative video JR. I've been experimenting with powering my large chest freezer in case of a grid down situation. The other benefit to a solar powered generator is that it is quiet and doesn’t draw attention during a SHTF situation where you don’t want to draw any attention to yourself.

Hey brother, hope you got through Beryll in good shape. I'm in Pasadena, and was surprised how hard it hit here, expecting more of a western strike. Lost power until Saturday, so thankful I got a Generac installed, ran like a champ, having only to shut it down to make the break in oil change. I'm a dispatcher, work 12 hour night shifts, took a bit to realize that the generator wasn't running when I woke up as the power came up while I was sleeping. I just hope that rolling the dice (and money) into the Generac that gas will remain available through these disasters. Also hoping that we're one and done for this season!

There definitely has to be a balance in preps. Depending on the location of where people live will determine which is the best preps to start with. The number one prep on everyone's list should be water and ways to purify it. That's my opinion though.

I've been Prepping since the late 70's and am retired now. Yes, I have some holes in my preps, but I am a lot better off than a lot of people. I have never had a credit card, my home and cars are paid off. I could probably open up a store when SHTF, but I won't. I will barter for Goods my team needs, for silver and for labor. I am still Prepping. Keep Prepping my friends.

In Phoenix AZ our ancestors used sopping wet towels around their necks and keep them wet! If it soaks your blouse or shirt that's even better. At night, before the Era of air conditioning, they'd wet a sheet and hang it in the windows like draperies to cool the room. When my air is out a cold shower helps to cool one off day or night. Damp pj's help you stay cool enough to sleep. Lots of water to stay hydrated. I was told we youngsters were Sissies as we didn't can and preserve over Grannies cast iron stove with a roaring fire going to preserve food in July when it was 110 degrees outside and nothing but an electric fan to cool off. And if they didn't preserve their food they would've starved during the great depression. Many came to the door for food and because they had it and had prepared, they were able to share with those in need.

Hello from Australia I have yet to purchase a power source. I am going to buy a solar set up to begin with. I have everything else, food and water (with purification options) for at least two years for myself and my dogs, 4 different ways to cook with plenty of fuel for each. I have spent the past 4 years getting into better physical and mental condition. I think a lot of people miss that one, my son included, he has all of the fancy gear but hasn't been trying to improve or upgrade his most important PREP, himself. Thank you for your channel

Greetings from Tennessee. I wish you would do a show on places to save money while purchasing preps on a regular basis. For instance Dollar general has $5 off every 25.00 spent on Saturdays. The Walmart wound care kit that you showed that cost $8 can be bought at Dollar tree for a $1.25.. Keep up the good work and God bless you and your family. ✌️

As much as you don't want to make mistakes, they do wonders for growth. I've only been prepping for about a 1 1/2yrs and definitely made some in the beginning. But I learned then changed what I was doing to be better at figuring what I need to do next and to alternate what to focus on. Definitely got overwhelming at times. Still learning. Also, good to hear you guys got through the hurricane Ok.

Get ibc totes that are food grade to catch and store water from your roof or whatever you can do. U need lots of water especially when you are growing food

i did end up getting a cooling mist tower fan..and a window fan that pulled hor air out of a room...spent $200...still using fan pulls hot air out with airconditiong...air pax portal .

Fans are the cheapest and use the least amount of energy. If you still have power but just lost AC, then a window unit is good to have. We used a small one in our bedroom when we lost AC a few years ago and just stayed in there as much as possible.

There are some really cool water vaporization systems that don’t use electricity which can cool a room 10+F The one they use in India with the ceramic tubes that has water running through them pulls heat out from the air remarkably well for a passive cooling system!

Own 3 ecoflows because they can charge in about one hour (start your gas generator to do this if you are in a hurry or snow or rain prevents solar charging ) . This fast charging has a trade off (about 800 charges ) . My other solar generators have about 3000 charges but takes about 12 hours to charge why you need both types of solar generators . Fast charging is not good for lithium batteries . Always trickle charge all your batteries for maximum battery life . Fast charging your phone will diminish its battery life-who wants that ?
