Bone broth pre-meal! PS: I make sandwich thins with an egg, some mozzarella, psyllium husk powder and a bit of baking powder. Make a burger with this, and you also get collagen.

I used to have terrible gut issues. Carnivore cured all of it. Ketovore now. I like some fruit and vegetables. Whole foods for the win!

I’ve been carnivore for a month and gotten even stricter the last 2 weeks of eating only fish & red meat. My stomach has gotten worse. I don’t a lot of water, HOWEVER I wonder if the culprit is aspartame & coffee. I have 1 coffee a day and 1 diet drink a day, sometimes 2. I currently have H. Pylori. About to head to the health food store to get mastic gum to help heal it. I’m also quitting coffee and aspartame drinks for a month to see if that helps. Oh and I’m also drinking a lot bone broth to help heal. Do you have any suggestions for me, other than what I’m already beginning to do?

@@rhondasponders52. H Pylori is probably what was causing your stomach pain , not the carnivore … unless you did full blown carnivore without gradually switching over . I am a retired nurse and we used to treat H Pylori with a Proton pump inhibitor, like Nexium , Pepcid , or Prilosec AND an antibiotic . Many of our patients complained of gastric pain with H Pylori . Many had reflux issues also and were linked to H Pylori .

Whole prunes in moderation, a handful or a few per day, and/or caster oil - about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per day on an empty stomach, followed by a glass of water. These should help move things along, but start slow on the caster oil. Eat sauerkraut and other fermented foods for good gut health.

I can only achieve and maintain robust gut health in ketosis; if I dare consume grains, starches, or high fructose fruits my digestion goes haywire. Oddly enough, in ketosis I can tolerate some foods that I would otherwise not be able to like black soybeans, avocados. I imagine it’s fostering a more favorable gut micro biome.
