Your videos are always so helpful, thank you! I'm taking the Other Disciplines in August. Can you make a video on how to prepare for the new Conceptual Questions? I'm currently studying using Prepineer, EIT Fast Track, the new NCEES practice exam, and will eventually try PrepFE. Do you have any thoughts on those study sources? Any advice is appreciated :)

Hello, thank you for watching. I will post a video talking about how to prepare for the new FE exam and also how to study for the conceptual questions. For the resources that you are using, you just have to be careful because some of the material might be outdated and might not be relevant to the exam anymore, so just keep that in mind. Also, make sure you sign up on my website for some free practice problems and if you have any questions, feel free to email me at hello@engenieer.com! Good luck with your studying 😊

@@Genieprep Thank you for your reply! This is great and I'm checking out the FE Bytes Morning Session course. Would this course be do-able for the Other Disciplines exam and with just over 2 months of prep time? I trust your insight since you stay up to date!
@Genieprep4 жыл бұрын
@@mskuhr I think the FE bytes can really prepare you for what to expect on the exam. I have had a student, Brenda, who enrolled in the course a week before her test and she took FE Other Discipline and she passed her exam. The course really prepared her for the test. I go over a lot of concepts and I give my students the skills to be able to tackle a lot of the FE exam questions! Let me know if you have any other questions and thank you for being interested in my course 😊

@@Genieprep Awesome, this is good to know! I really appreciate all the time you take to help us out and ease some stress on the FE. I'm planning to enroll in your course this coming week. Thanks again :)

Summary: 1) New Reference Manual 10.0 pdf and New search bar 2) New Exam Specifications {Download off NCEES website & study those topics} 3) New Practice Exam {"After July 1st"; recommends replicating test environment when doing practice exam including wearing a face mask} 4) Conceptual Questions {around a quarter of the questions} 5) FE Exam Format {still 110 qu for 5 hrs & 20 mins and 25 mins break, but there are now more questions based on fill in the blank and drag & drop}

Today, I got my result and passed FE exam. I am a mom of a toddler and passed out civil engineering in 2014 from foreign country. It took me 4 months to revise all the topics. Managing time to study was so difficult for me . Your videos were so helpful to me. Thank you !

@@swathhii As far as I know , you should be in the US to be eligible to take the exam since the exam should be taken by going to designated exam halls ….. and you need some documents(college transcript , US equivalent evaluation) to get the EIT certificate…. That’s my experience and understanding. Thank you

@@user-qy8zi8hq4v No I am not 😊 you have to be physically present here in the US, to give the exam that’s what I know …. And the college transcripts , certificates , US equivalent transcript.

I took the electrical fe exam in July during Covid-19 and passed. I was originally planning to take in May or June because I was still using the older handbook, however I didn't sign up soon enough. Using the new handbook didn't give me any problems and the search bar was very useful. Some helpful tips would be is the learn equation names in the handbook rather than what page number it was on, take a walk before/between the exam to help stimulate yourself, come well-rested, eat brain-beneficial foods, study the topics you are least familiar with closest to the exam time, and have a mental timer for each question. If you don't know the answer, flagged the question, move on to the next, and then come back to it towards the end. KISS = Keep it simple stupid (Try not to overthink/over complicate a question)

Hello. Just want to express my gratitude for the videos you post regarding FE exams. Even though my practice was in Electrical and Computer and I came across your videos a few days prior to my appointment, they provided helpful information such as what to do the day before, what to expect during, time management, etc. It was especially helpful with it being my first time taking this test. My exam has been rescheduled from March to June, and again to July due to Covid-19 so I was unaware of the test changes that took place after July 1st. Luckily your videos covered it so I was able to adjust accordingly. I ended up passing on my first attempt and would confidently recommend other test takers to view your content regardless of practice. Thank you for your help!
