Some of the best fishing on the gulf coast and the smaller community towns outside of Corpus Christi are close but are very attractive to those that want a little less noise. Small towns like Portland, Rockport, and Port Aransas are very attractive places for family's that enjoy the smaller community living.

However, while there are certain neighborhoods that might fit the 'ghetto' stereotype, it's important to note that most of Corpus Christi is vibrant and welcoming! The city as a whole offers a rich mix of culture, recreation, and community, making it a great place to live and work.

Thank you for watching! Regarding immigration, overall numbers are high due to the current administration's policies. However, the amount of immigration to Corpus Christi is lower compared to other major cities, as many people are trying to move away from the southern border. As for crime, Corpus Christi does have areas with higher crime rates, but it's important to note that crime isn't too bad in certain parts of the city. Areas like the Southside, Bay Area, London, Portland, and the island tend to have lower crime rates. Most of the higher crime rates are more regularly seen on the west side of Corpus Christi. I’d love to live near corpus .. on outer area of the city as I have horses and would love the country side of corpus.. what are great towns or cities that are less than 30mins from corpus

There are definitely areas on the outskirts of the city that would be perfect for you and your horses. You might want to look into Kingsville, Odem, and Sinton area. I live in Calallen which is a suburb of Corpus Christi and live in a subdivision called Wood River. If open country is what you are looking for Northwest Calallen about 2 to 5 miles past the high school is the place for you. If you want to go a little further west, there is a small town called Orange Grove about 15 to 20 miles past Calallen. Lots of acres to buy if land is what you are looking for. Lots of houses on 2 to 5 acres with plenty of room for horses. Being on the northwest side of Corpus Christi means we are about 25 to 30 minutes from the bayfront and about 40 to 45 minute drive from Padre Island. Everything is easy to get to in Corpus Christi. Very little congestion on the freeways here. Only a little congestion during the morning and evening rush hours, but you get through it in a few minutes.
