After playing the demo, I couodnt take last recollection seriously. I wish the one before that was faster but it was overall fun and didnt feel low quality. Last recollection was just.... stiff and based around watching cutscene attacks it looks like

The story missions themselves have a lot of collectables for unlockables that you can chase by revisiting their zone. And even as a solo player, you can easily dip into multiplayer, there is matchmaking. As mentioned, Free Quests are the easiest and most chill gamemode to get into. You just roam around an open map with 19 other matchmade people to just take out bosses and monsters in different tiers.

@@Gamerturk I bought it but ended up refunding it right away, you need to have internet to access various contents of the game, totally focused on multiplayer, the story missions have several cutscenes that take a long time to load and skip, something that leaves the "grind" solo very boring and hard time consuming, but the game in general seems to be fun playing in groups in multiplayer, just it's not good for me.

There's a setting to keep default outfits during the story, so you can equip whatever you want and keep it vanilla for the story mode. I personally added the flower hairpin to Death Gun because it's hilarious.

so if the server is down you won't be able to play? why does it have to be connected to internet to pass the start screen. GB4 was able to have offline and online why did they not do that

Just one question as a Switch user. Is the online mode playable on offline? (ex: Like God Eater 3 , which we can play the online mode on offline (With only internet connection active without the Nintendo online membership ).

I got the game and around 5:00 in your video to use costume in cutscenes there’s a toggle button it’s always off so u would need to toggle it on if you want to see the cosmetic in story unless you don’t want it in the gameplay aswell

It'll definitely be better than Fatal Bullet. There are still people who play there on Max level, but that community is barely alive on consoles and PC.

Best thing about this game is that, It's MULTI-PLATFORM! All Platforms can play together, making queueing basically instantly with that many players from all sources. The battle system is fun, and the variety of battle gameplay is many since each character plays differently

I have a question. I played extensively GrandBlue Fantasy Relink and it was hell sometimes to find people for coop. So I prefered to play solo in the end. Is SAO enjoyable fully in solo experience? The pve content is it interesting and long enought?

I cannot answer that question immediately beyond what I have mentioned in this video, as I have received my review copy just hours ago. And trying to answer that based on the very limited Beta experiences (in regards to available variety) would not be fair. I'll be diving into the full game shortly and can answer properly in a day or two if you'd just ask again. Alternatively, I'll be streaming and uploading content quite regularly. You can come and chat on streams and I can answer there, or simply follow the uploads and see what the full game has to offer yourself.

You can progress solo entirely, it's just not as fast as playing co-op. Treat playing solo as a chill, relax content when you don't want to feel competitive/playing with others. The way to progress solo is to play Free Roam. Key note: playing solo doesn't mean playing off-line. You still need internet connection to play Free Roam, just that there are no queue, you just jump into the map and grind.

@@Klez13 yes. I guess i didn’t make it clear. All content are random match making (except free roam, in which you don’t match make but get thrown into a map). Think of it like league of legend match making. You queue up and got match with other. That’s the multiplayer aspect of it. Free roam is a mode where you don’t get match with other. If there are not enough people to match make, the game will replace them with bots so you never really stuck waiting.

That's why one of following usually happens for these types of games/ SAO games in general. 1. The base version goes on sale for 25%+ about 3-6 months later. 2. They start mass implementation of new features or maps/bosses to inflate the amount of content available.

They have all the bed scenes from the previous games in a gallery like section, you also get an increase to your characters base stats the more scenes and stuff you unlock.

Played the beta! Just a question on legend weapons. Wha is the best way to get them? Was it getting mvp the best way for chances? Or will there be any other way to get some?

As far as I know, MVP, Last Attack etc, do not have higher rates. All those achievements just provide a bonus drop slot. So overall, it does increase your chances via sheer numbers, whether it has higher rates or not, I cannot say.

@@Gamerturk From what I read in the FD discord at one point, S rank/MVP/Last Attack add certain modifiers. I don't know if it's appearance items only though or legendaries as well. But it basically goes from a base rate of 3% all the way up to 27%. Not sure if it's ONT only though or part of the base game. Much as it would be easy to guess nothing changed from ONT to early access, I have noticed a few changes already so I can only imagine what else changed under the hood.

It does require precise testing, which I never bothered to do in the Beta. I really don't like boiling games down to spreadsheets myself, so chances are, I won't do it either. But there'll most certainly be meta chasers much like every other game who would do the required testing, so keep an eye out!

The game is amazing so far! Now looking at the cosmetics shop, I'm not a supporter of p2w, but in this case is there any downside to having stronger teammates? Just the damage ranking? Doesn't seem as egregious as Memory Defrag where you're trying to rank against other players

Looking from that perspective, there really isn't an advantage, no. Unless you are very competitive and want to top leaderboards for very little additional gain, you will only benefit from stronger teammates indeed.

you dont have to remove your outfits, you can toggle whether you want to show cosmetics in cut scenes or not

There is one downside to this and it's your equipped weapon. Since your active weapon is not a "cosmetic" but your actual weapon, you often need a "cosmetic" version of the characters' original weapon to overwrite it back.

@@jonathansmith702 Actually, Infinity Moment did make you a pseudo-self insert, which is why for the Aincrad portions of the story, you have no voice acting and proper representation. It is also why Kirito has no dialogue sprite in IM as well as HF. They just kept the existing customization for later games as well because outside of story, they wanted to allow players to feel like their own characters. SAOFD pretty explicitly makes you play as these characters, even outside of the story.

If they make you set you controller layout yourself would approve the combat system of the game. Right now the layout setup is awful. But I still love the game

Pretty much one of my only 2 gripes with the game atm. 1) Camera/Target Lock going wild on boss raids without being able to decide which part of the boss to focus 2) Not having custom mapping for controller. I personally am fine with the button layout, it's perfect for me. But I know a lot of people do want the customizability, some even require it for accessibility reasons. And just going with presets in 2024 rather than allowing custom button mapping is not something I am okay with.

@@Gamerturk yeah I agree. I kind of fixed my problem with the lock during boss fights. You can have it that you press R1+R3(direction) this way it wouldn't jump to a new target when I was moving around the target. That's why having more customization foe the co teoller is a must. But honestly still a great game. I keep jumping between space marine 2 , Throne and liberty and SAO.

An MMORPG does not necessarily mean an Open World really. Heck, most MMOs just have large map instances and not an Open World.
