Static IP address? Manufacturer stated static IP can be set. In the App I guess, have you seen where under Settings maybe or ? Also, are you using an Android or iPhone App that crashes? Your other video is titled ...Wi-Fi for 828LM, but you're not configuring Wi-Fi, only connecting a network data cable, so LAN, vs. WLAN

Good videos - thank you. I know you have to use an “Ethernet cable” to setup the gateway device BUT does the Ethernet cable have to remain plugged in for the gateway device to work? My garage is detached from the house where my router will be located.

Thanks for reaching out. Yes you would have to leave the network cable connected to the internet gateway. If your garage is not connected to your home then you could use a Wi-Fi extender and connect the internet gateway to the wifi extender.

Can the internet gateway be used on more than one garage door. We have 2 garage doors and would like to be able to operated both doors with the MyQ system.
