When it comes to British Columbia, it is an incredibly vast province with many options that could suit a variety of lifestyles. Places like Victoria, Vancouver, Chilliwack, Kamloops, Kelowna, Penticton, Dawson Creek, Fort St John, and many other places within the province all have extremely unique characteristics. Have you lived in BC before? Let's talk about some of the other important things that I wasn't able to cover in the video! The South Okanagan, like Penticton and Osoyoos are desert-like as well. And yes, wildfires are a big problem with it being so dry and not very humid. I agree it's an expensive place to live, hence why people say BC means "Bring Cash." If driving from Calgary, I'd recommend driving down Highway 97 through Kelowna, then down to Highway 3 (Crowsnest) to Vancouver. It's even more scenic!

Living here for more than 35 year's I can attest to that and I've worked and played in all part's of Southern BC such as Osoyoos, Boston bar, penticton, Kelowna, Vernon, Lytton Etc... Kamloops is the record holder 🔥 😊 unfortunately with this woke liberal DICTATORSHIP Trudeau has running Canada British Columbia is becoming increasingly unmanageable to sustain a good quality of life because of the high price of living. BC has the highest gas prices in North America also we are the 3rd most expensive place in the world to either buy or rent housing 😕

The real desert is south of Kamloops in Osoyoos. It is a true desert, The area around Kamloops LOOKS like a desert, but it doesn't meet criteria.

One minute in and you say BC has NO prairie. A lot you know. The northeast part of the province is true Great Plains, east of the Rockies, and an extension of Alberta's plains. Lots of natural gas there.

42 degrees in Kamloops was a once in a lifetime event!!! Kamloops DOES NOT get that hot... in 13 years only one year (LAST YEAR 2021 SUMMER) had 1 week of hot 40 degree weather.

BC has the highest gas prices in North America. You cannot afford to buy a house here unless you already got into the market decades ago (or are selling in a market that is almost equivalent to here). Mass immigration is ruining the friendly charm of the bigger cities in the province - what was once a very friendly population has become colder and unfriendly. The government is a socialist - bordering communist - government. The economy used to be resource based but has been transformed to mostly service based and will get destroyed in an economic downturn.

Most of BC is forests, small towns, small cities and spread out area. Mountains and valleys, mountains and valleys, and lakes. Most of BC is not develloped because frankly it would be impossible to devlop most of the land due to the mountain/valley/lake structure. If you're going to move anywhere in BC but you aren't a millionaire, hell even if you are a millionaire but you want somewhere more private than buzzing around a city of millions, go to the Okanagan Valley. I previously used to hate it as a kid, because at the time the place where I lived in the Okanagan Valley was known as a retirement town, and I felt like it was just full of old people and had nothing to actually do. Now that I'm a bit older, I learned to appreciate the beautiful area; it's almost December right now and it hasn't snowed once this year; we've had 2 or 3 days of seeing some minimal frost outside first thing in the morning, and I barely have to wear a light jacket to go out. Granted, January is usually the coldest month, and we still could get lots of snow yet, but it's leaps and bounds warmer than almost any other part of Canada--I even lived in Cranbrook, located in the Kootenays and close to the rocky mountains for a while, and even though it's technically further down on the map (aka closer to the US border and therefore closer to the equator) it got WAY WAY WAY colder there. I had an emergency pull me back to the Okanagan in mid-November from Cranbrook, and I was literally able to watch as the snow and icy conditions of the road got better and better the closer I got back to the Okanagan, until I was within a couple hours of the place and all the snow was completely gone on the roads and the weather was noticeably much, much milder. AND THE WIND! Cranbook basically lives parallel to Vancouver at the coast, just much much more inland, very close to the BC/Alberta border, and the rocky mountains that sit at that border. Well, what they don't tell you about Vancouver, is that it gets such strong winds there!! Thanks to the beautiful ocean that also keeps the weather at the coast temperate. Well, as that strong wind travels inland towards the rocky mountains, by the time it hits Cranbrook, it's INSANE. It's fast, and COLD, and incessant. When I got there, it was nearly May, and the first thing I experienced was the chilly, icy, strong winds. And then, once summer came, it was 2 full months of the worst heat I've experienced since the heat wave a few years ago--it was hard to even be outside most days, and you'd get a tan/almost burn from even a few minutes under the sun there. Don't get me wrong, seeing the Rockies every day was AMAZING and something that I frequently miss. But if you're going to come to Canada, make it the Okanagan Valley. You are protected from strong, rushing winds by the surrounding mountains--it gets windy sometimes, but never anything so crazy you start to question if your things are going to start flying away. You (for the most part; you never know when extremes are going to happen) get nice, warm-hot summers, beautiful falls, white winters that don't start too early or get too cold--it is NOTHING, NOTHING like a winter in ALBERTA--and a gorgeous spring that doesn't rain too much. In fact, it never rains too much here; part of the Okanagan Valley is classified as a desert, after all. Also there are 2 cities that aren't too big, aren't too small, within the valley--Kamloops and Kelowna--as well as a LOT of small towns that aren't so small that they feel like ghost towns, and hell even towns that are so small they feel like ghost towns exist here. You really can choose from it all in the Valley.

The Okanagan is my favorite part of BC. I grew up in the dank rainy hell that is Vancouver, so the sunny Okanagan is such a nice change.

After being in BC for nearly twenty years now, I am convinced, should a standardized IQ test be administered across Cabada that BC would have the lowest score. Yes, it is very beautiful but also very expensive because of the low IQ.

None of you have seen the best part of B.C. I should not be even telling you this but if you really want to see my home take a week long trip with me and you will be phoning your boss and family and telling them that your going to be gone for another week or two I have been travelling the back roads since I was 15 years old and I have only made it up to half of the province I have found some of the best lakes and the hot springs in the forest there’s nothing better than sitting in a hot tub in February at 2:00 am with snow falling down and candles Bering all around you and nice ladies getting you a beer in her birthday suit I will not go anywhere else until I get to the top of B. C by back roads and I’m almost in the area where I can start looking for gold and other fine medals and rocks get out of the cities and meet the real people ofB.C who like the natives respect the land
