The steam engines are all great, and the power from even small steam engines is much greater than equally sized diesel engines. Colin.

How strong are these little engines

There are a lot of variables, this one can pull around 3-4 people as it’s fairly small but our City of Truro in the same scale can pull 10+ quite easily with the ride on trucks, it can still pull more.

How strong are they? The little engine in this video answers it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnzQfXxjqN-Jick

Looks so much better on the larger gauge. Is it a straight 2x larger build?

Chris C No it’s built by drawings from Charles Kennion but the cab was added as an extra by my dad when he built it as an apprentice.

@@neilbottle6662 Neil, would you still have any drawings of the cab as it was built by your father? I am more and more keen to have this same look every time I watch the video. Cheers.

Chris C it’s certainly different! I much prefer it compared to the open cab. He’s away at the moment but I’ll ask him when he gets back. If not I’m sure I could take some pictures and e-mail them to you.

My dad didn’t draw up any plans for the cab, he just kind of made it up as he went along. It’s a fairly simple design really.

@@neilbottle6662 Perhaps a few flat-on photos with a ruler included for scale? I don'tmean to be a bother.
