Taker has always been the final boss of wwe since survivor series 1990 .. the streak was more important than the main even title match at more than half of the wrestle manias that ever existed .. he was always the final boss

If you are The Undertaker then your belt will be given to Triple H. If you won the Royal Rumble you will fight The Undertaker (or if you are playing as him then you will fight Triple H) to try and win the Title back. WWE Day of Reckoning (SmackDown Side) SmackDown vs RAW 2007 (If you begin on RAW and by the end of the SmackDown portion of the Season you are challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship)

I used to play beat the streak on 2k14 for hours. When I first beat it, I actually cried cause it took me 6 hours. Granted I was ten, but it was awesome. I developed a strategy that helped me beat the game. Never had online scores so it didn’t bother me. I would go outside the ring and constantly beat him with stairs. Now you have to time the hits perfectly, for instance once you hit him four times, you drop the stairs. So try and hit him while standing the fourth time. And repeat until he has red health, for head and body, hit a finisher or two, win with ease

I actually played a created superstar to defeat the undertaker in smackdown vs raw 2011. Just to think that game predicted the future as his streak would sadly come to an end just 4 years after that game was made.

Taker was also the final boss in "WrestleMania 2000" on career mode (If you win all key matches). If you're holding the world title close to Mania, Vince McMahon will come out and strip you of the title and award it to Undertaker (Corporate Ministry version), who you then face a WrestleMania to regain the belt.
