Id like to point out that carryweight need never be a problem if it irritates you. The wonderful, intelligent, kindly (add any superlatives you prefer) devs of this game have given us options to customise our game, I love these devs! They listened during early access and changed many things, one of which was the ability to decide just how hard certain aspects are for the player. For example, I play a ten day season rather than the std three days, this makes the game harder in respect of food consumption but easier in finding suitable villagers and completing seasonal quests. Make the game your own by changing the damage done by foes and the hits needed to gather resources, you can change many aspects so never need to feel overwhelmed! 🥰

I think the bandits aren’t supposed to spawn until year 2, however I just recently started a new game and encountered some so just be on the lookout

Yes, I’m in Summer year one and I’ve just killed three bandits at the west bridge south of Tutki, got some good loot but it was a fight with only a stone spear! 😮

Not to necro comment but for anyone else that was wondering I had the same thing happen except it was a group of around 8 bandits spawned next to a wrecked cart and absolutely destroyed me so be careful when just running around. Save often.

Thank you for the tips on the backpack and pouch, I didn't know about them! I'm having a hard time with the seasons and food because I am making knives and selling them but the money just goes on food for me, I think I spent the first two game 'years' without a village and just doing quests but now I have time to get more villagers I can invest in them. Had I thought about it early on I would have done the grind for my village a bit earlier. Not looking forward to my third winter without warm clothing!

Just started yesterday and found directly at the beginning a camp with a bow and bronce arrows, they are so helpfull for hunting thats just op

It might have been a bug, but I met bandits 5 minutes after starting the game for the first time. Just east of Gostovia.

My tip for beginners: Start a new game, turn on infinite stamina and weight and set seasons to 30 days. Now you take some time and just go farming materials for 3-4 hours. After farming you save it. Now you have a save game which you can use everytime you want to start a new game and you won't need to farm again.

I love this game. Not gonna lie, at first i was like "man what did i just spend 30$ on" bc i never watched any videos or reviews for this game and just went in blind and first impressions seemed so basic and generic. I almost uninstalled it but gave it a few more hours and im glad i did. It opens up into such a massive sandbox of a game and i love it.

I got this game for $12 and I couldn't be happier with it. This is amazing so far. Im tryong to do a default run, its difficult but rewarding. Just hit my first hot summer and my stamina decreased by 40% and thirst increases by 20%, 😆. I love the realism even if it is a pain in the ass. It took me several hours just to obtain warmer clothing and I like that about the game. Its amazing. Highly recommend. My protip: spend an hour building multiple resource centers, just for storage. You will have a hard time ever filling the 2000 weight capacity between the two. I use one for logs and sticks, stones, and the other for everything else miscellaneous, works very well.

Awesome tips Sir Saven! I for one, did not do any of these things lol and now I know why I'm having some difficulties with running a village. I was all about building everything I could right away and have been successful with finding items to sell but have also been fighting a good number of bandits. I 100% should have explored a bit first. Can't wait for the next one. :)

Guess they changed bandit spawn, got jumped by 3 bandits right outside of the that first town while looking for carts. Heard a weird whistling sound, look up and two dudes are running at me with axes. Thankfully they don't cross the "bridge" towards the village so I just kited them back and forth while getting in cheap shots.

I chose exact camp spot just by looking at map - center of all locations. I like other side of river a bit more onky cuz more trees right there. And the lil side stream is perty 😊

I started a new game a few weeks back. I already knew where i wanted to build so headed straight there. There was bandits in a on day one. Had to fight them off with wooden spears and stone knives. Dont know if that had something to do with the last update

Wait. I’m only in season one and ran into a bandit camp…oh…I altered seasons to be longer than 3 days. Perhaps that’s why 😊 tho, i only set it to like 10 days or sumptin like that On way to Denica, right along river there were 3 who came after me soon as they saw me. 😅 but I got away Just became a PC’er less than a week ago. First game I downloaded was this one and I’m hooked. 😍

You know what i would like to see the ability to raise armies declare independence and even conquer territory over time new lands can be added so you can build a large empire they could also limit the world by having oceans and other things you have to manage
