When I first got licensed I researched 2m antennas. Came across Michael’s custom build J Pole and it is hands down the best 2m antenna I’ve ever used. I plan to buy several and keep them on hand. This guy really LOVES ham radio. You can tell from his products quality and how he handles just conversing with other hams.

I don’t throw wires into trees anymore. I attach the antenna to the end of a 17’ telescoping fishing pole and just lean it against a tree. Easier for me, and better for the trees. 😊

I've climbed up to parnel tower in WI and activated with an HT. It is doable

Pin Point is not necessarily right...That's right. Shenandoah National Park is miles long, and the pin point is actually in Front Royal, which is slightly North of the northernmost point of the Park.
