I feel you!! Some days I put them on and I can't even move because I get overwhelmed by anxiety... I find wearing all safety gear possible a bit reassuring though. Don't hesitate to gear up from a good helmet to padded shorts 😉

I’m almost 54 (2 months), and started skating again 2 years ago. Back then, an experienced skater just told me to slow down and relax. It helps to get a game plan for practice and set some goals. Practice as often as you can or just put skates on for 10 minutes a day if you can’t roll for a long time. Good luck 😊

Hi! I have a few questions! Do you ever come down to Lynnwood Bowl and skate for sessions? Also, I got some gift cards for the holiday and have been eyeing creating a new set up. I’m new to skating, about a year in, but want to up grade. I’m currently rolling suregrip boardwalks. Everything is stock except wheels and cushions. I’m more of a rink skater, jam/ dance/ Jb style and I’m curious to what materials, truck angles, and wheel hardnesses would provide the best response.

I will get some recommendations on set-up, I actually asked my friends who rink skate the same question about rink set-ups so I'm gonna get back to you once I also find those answers. I have a flat foot because of roller skating.. is it abnormal? I hate and make it hard to walk barefoot now..

How long do you skate per day? It seems unlikely that skating would give you flat feet. I have flat feet and it's such a struggle for me to skate precisely because skates require "muscled" foot arches. In my case I was born with flat feet and I need corrective insoles. But I know some conditions can cause flat feet like arthritis (I read about it just a couple days ago while I was looking for efficient exercises). So you should go to a podologue and see what they'll tell you because you may have another condition enhancing the flatness... hope this help.
