@@ainoaguy My pleasure. I've struggled with self confidence and the anxiety it caused, most of my life. I spent so much time worrying what people would think of me that I gave up a LOT of experiences. I'm now 45 and a few years back I realized that there are only a VERY few people who's opinion of me actually matters and those people are myself, my husband, my daughters,my parents and the 2 best friends that I literally met in preschool. It was the most liberating moment of my life when I realized that if those folks supported me then I was truly free. Now I embarrass my daughters regularly when start dancing in a store or singing to them in the car with the windows down lol. Please, get out there and do what makes you happy. I've fallen more times than I can count and no one has EVER laughed. Actually, I have had SO many kind people who would stop and help me up or show me how to prevent falling again.

This is gold! I don't have many suitable places close by to skate and the weather is not the best every day, so I've been practicing in my kitchen where I can do two small strides at best (and I've got tiles too). But I'm a beginner so I've practiced getting up, stopping (plow and toe stop), some bubbles, picking up foot, picking up front wheels, and just getting comfortable with wheels on my feet. I get scared easily so having the counter there to "catch me" is helping, I don't even need to be holding it in most cases, but the mental "support" is doing wonders. Now you've added several more things I can try on days where I work long or the weather sucks. I think I'm gonna learn transitions next. Thank you!

We have a skatepark in town but I haven't even thought of it as being for roller skates. I've been watching videos and I'm Amazed! Also I bought some ballet shoes and professional jazz shoes.
