Shar S Hey thanks for watching! Those ones are pretty good actually if you wanted an all-in-one solution such as earbuds. The mic on those is quite good. The best quality though would always be an external xlr mic.

BUT what mic are you using in this video because that sounds the best. A lot of USB external set-ups like Scarlett have this mildly chunky compressors sound. It's not horrible but I use and Audient and some L&R mics and that sounds very natural. Still curious mic YOU are using in the video. Is it a video mic like Rode?

It was a while ago but if I remember correctly I used a wireless lav. A rode go I think. Audio fidelity is going to be better though as soon as you feed it through zoom it won't sound as good as a video or an audio recording.

Wow, great informations. Could you please clear my doubt, that is what kind of speakers should you use to listen to the other participants properly in a zoom meeting. And how to avoid feedback/interference of the speakers audio into your microphone. I mean how to avoid your microphone catching the speaker audio output.

The easiest way is to use headphones. If you use speakers, try to have them facing away from your mic although zoom has improved a lot and is usually decent enough in toggling between speakers/mics.

I never gave thought about audio suppression that was part of Logitech camera settings or Zoom. Thank you. I agree to some extent without getting too pricy that a USB mic generally would sound better to your audience on Zoom or Skype than the built in mics on a webcam.

how does the sound comes out if we are using the audio interface? do we plug in our headphones to the laptop or the focusrite audio interface?

Hi! You can do either. You can plug in your headphones to the interface via a 1/4" adapter (amzn.to/3cbdtPe). Or just plug directly to your computer. You can select which audio output you would like to use in Zoom's audio settings. Hope this helps!
@mattmarkus48684 жыл бұрын
Awesome thank you. But do you have to use headphones to hear the other person on the call? In other words, if you're using your speakers, won't the mic pick up their voice and screw things up? Or is there a way to isolate it so the mic will only pick up you? That doesn't sound right but I really want to know because I want the sound of others in my room and not in headphones. Thank you. The blue yeti looks and sounds great!
@MarioSoMedia4 жыл бұрын
Yes the blue Yeti is a great option! Great question. The best thing to do would be to face the speakers away from the mic and have the mic face you in front of the speakers to reduce feedback as much as possible. A directional or shotgun mic would be a great option since they would only capture sound wherever the mic is pointed towards. Hope this helps.

Thanks Mario! I'm looking for good audio in Zoom meetings (without any DAW) and bought the "Audient ID14" - and want to use the microphone in mono mode so that it drives both channels (left and right). ... but unfortunally in Windows 10 Lenovo let me only select the ID14 mic channels 1 / 2 together (not separately) so that my microphone only through one speaker stereo channel. Would that mono mode be possible with the "scarlett 2i2" or the "Native Instruments 2" without any DAW? And how much worse would the sound be? thx M

Hey! Thanks for watching! I don't have experience with the Audient interface but is there a reason why you would like it in mono mode and not stereo? If it's for online meetings, I don't think that would make much of a difference.

In the xlr mic test, why did the mic sound so bad? Just asking. Thank You!
@MarioSoMedia3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree with you that it doesn't sound as good as it should. That's because the test is feeding the xlr mic into Zoom and recording the audio from there. First tip: Put a high-pass filter on your audio, early in the audio chain. The sound, here, has very heavy low-bass rumble. If you can't hear it, you need better headphones (or speakers). Second tip: Don't use background music. It distracts from what you're saying.
