The framers that built that place... the attention to detail... Everything lines up perfect, even the fire blocks, not taking a short cut and staggering them, but lining them all up perfect.... those LVL and engineered strong walls at that height... Holy crap, absolutely beautiful. A shame to cover up...

Framers stagger blocks because you can nail them better not because they are taking a shortcut.

@randomman057 It's a waste of resources, talent, and time. Period. How many families could have been housed with that much human and material input in a more egalitarian economy in our resource constrained reality? I guess it doesnt matter, because here in America, we build guilded gamecourts for the Governor while Gs starve in the ghetto. In our society, where inconceivable concentrations of wealth are justified by the trickle-down effects they impart to the labor-caste, simps like you say, "You're blessed to serve your Lord. Be thankful. You can always go back to the ghetto if Manor life dost not suit thee."

Statistically there were 36.5 million people playing pickleball by January 2023 with a growth rate averaging 158.6 percent over the last 3 years. That means almost 58 million would be playing by January 2024. Not an audience to ignore.

Pella windows are so overpriced and low quality. My neighbors spent $35k on two casement window walls that look like hot garbage 15 years later. Just garbage.

Matt: I've noticed on a few of you more recent videos that on the outro you'll align "BUILD Show" with the music drop, which is an excellent touch. I will say that on the "OOOON" before the drop, breaking your voice has just been a little cringy. In the preceding 2-3 years, you'd add max emphasis on "OOOON" without breaking your voice like a 12 year old, and I think that's optimal: elevated vocal emphasis without breaking, then dropping the music in on "BUILD". Unsoliceted 2¢. It's a tiny detail, but knowing you're the detail wizard, I thought the input would be appreciated.
@AllenAngle9 ай бұрын
I used to love watching these Build Show videos, they were informative and interesting. As of late the budgets are off the chart thus eliminating the interest. Blotted projects with unlimited funds, maybe it just me, not all that interesting to watch. Many can build better under those conditions and pocketbooks. Great for the builders, but it doesn't end up being all that informative to the normal builder and projects. Based on the basement, we just had to go down to being full underground, I was waiting for the reference to a car lift to show further the grotesque budget for this project.

@Navy1977 if two stories, concrete tilt up walls for the gym, with a composite concrete floor. But really, a single story post frame would be way cheaper. Those engineered studs must have cost a fortune.
