I’ve noticed that every class in the game has guides on youtube that are years old despite changes. It may be a great idea to make tips for every class in the game!

Your all rounder build for merc got me playing Kruber and I just love how versatile the big man is, especially his ult. Can disrupt elite overheads and special casts and then easily headshot them, stagger monsters and take aggro if they’re beating up your squishy damage dealers or just save the whole team from going down multiple times in a fight

Another tip from someone who plays too much of the rat slapping game. For merc, dont be afraid but dont be stupid. I've seen too many mercs that dont use their ult due to their HP not being low enough or because they're saving it, use it even if you're at full. And then I've seen other mercs charge a chaos patrol on their own and getting deleted, dont be stupid, let them pass, if there isn't an option for that, stick to the team, stagger them with ult but wait for other ults that cause stagger, take it one ult at a time to maximize chaos stagger

For halberd, push attack -> light attack -> heavy attack is a better combo against armoured elites. The 3rd light is faster and deals higher armoured damage than heavy 1.

Glad I'm not the only one stacking up that 30% cooldown to spam ults. Merc has been one of my favorite careers so far doing my Legend-Border runs (although I just hit Shade and she might just be my absolute favorite class). * Greatsword, because it has some of the best cleave damage in the game (measured in terms of how much of the full damage is being dealt to target 4+; Greatsword still does 33% which is above average) * Focused on Power (EnhPower, MtM, Reikland) to maximize damage against hordes. * Swift Slaying. (Though when I actually ran this build it was Opportunist since I was amazed at how much value it gave me on Bardin's shield weapons. Unfortunately it doesn't really seem to provide similar value on damage weapons, as it doesn't quite seem to hit enough stagger-breakpoints to be worth it.) * +4 stamina to enable a ton of pushes (since GS has low stagger, and also since it's only good single target attack is the push attack) * +20% dodge range also because of the low stagger * 30% cooldown reduction to spam ults like in this vid Executioner Sword is definitely the easier overall choice (since it has fairly close cleave ability, but quite a lot better single target options that don't eat up your stam), but it does seem like Greatsword beats it out in terms of raw wave-clear. (Hard to tell though, since I don't have data on attack times sadly.)

a little tip when you get used to playing Merc a bit more: if you have an extreme excess of THP, and your ult is almost off of cooldown, it can be beneficial to play a bit more recklessly, in order to get hit. this will put a use to your THP, as the damage you take will give you ult charge, and you can immediately shout to regain the THP you lost, *and* give THP to the rest of your team. also, this makes receiving damage from friendlies actually a thing i enjoy on Merc lol, since everytime a teammate hits you, theyre giving you a bit of ult charge

I just don't like to use halberd. Mashing lmb+rmb so fast all the time is so annoying. I really like the mercenary tho. Great video!

Best weapon is mace and sword. Great for hordes and elites. Works well for cata and the modded realm when you play difficulties above cata and also onslaught.

@@one7decimal2eight Ehhh nope... never i rather would use normal sword & shield than mace & shield... & exe is good espcielally for GK if you have all 5% crit chance eq & WHC in team for bonus 5% but nah... never gona switch my bret sword for any other weapon as it have best dmg to stager properties ratio with comining attack paterns , attack speed ^& combo moves IMO... not to mention all those dash with block on charged attack... I have all weapons in my EQ but some are just trophies never to be used again & mace & shield hangs there on the wall for about 2 years or more... some weapons just are garbage & even after they changed the push to be first charged attack to push waves it's still SHIT level weapon.

@@BloodM3ss go watch any of the tournaments where they play cata 3 dearhwosh onslaught+. Mercenary or Grail Knight always have the mace and sword.

@@one7decimal2eight I dont care about tournaments no time & not my style... especially as the main focus on them is CC for faster passing the map that's why they use CC or/also speed trick moves weapons , ults weapons & talents *. That is something that i dont care as I never liked anything that is close or is speed-run style. If you dont know that that's probably what make you think that this is meta... meta for speed-run ;) I usually drop games that make some difficulties to be played reliably only by speed-runing except for playing occasionally with friends from time to time but I must say it again I hate this mindset of playing if it's main focus. * not like i dont use build like that it's just i dont like playing that way all the time for me it's no fun & if no fun then why losing time on playing?. ______________ I got almost 4,3k hours in V2 & I mainly focus on QP & fun interactions with random people & sometimes even play on lover difficulties if I fell like chill & give maybe fev advice's or help some nev players to get some chest with loot-boxes etc. or some achievements. __________ That's how it is & that is what you nead to consider before saying that something is good... good for what? /The same "name" on Steam.

They changed it some time ago by giving it another heavy attack with a TON of cleave. So it's good for hordes and good for elites if you can headshot.

I wouldn't phrase it like that. All his careers are very different and with the exception of huntsman they are all top tier careers in my opinion. Merc is simply never a bad choice for any team.

Grail knight is a better melee frontline & elite killer, foot knight has better crowd control, huntsman is a ranged backline and does better special sniping. Merc is kinda in between all of them and is more versatile.
