Stunning layout as usual. May I ask you if you mostly use only white 12X12 as a background first before adding your other colors and textures? I'm new to this and trying to figure it out. Thanks
@JaymaMalme Жыл бұрын
Thank you! That is a great question! I never really thought about it but I usually do start with white. I use a lot of patterns and textures etc and I find that starting with a white base preserves some white space for me so it doesn’t get too busy. I will address your question in my next video, I am sure it would help others too.

What were the word stickers that were to the right of your layout early on in your video. I don't think they were CTMH. Thanks!

They were old stickers from EK success.

I love the beautiful layout. I appreciate hearing your thought process. I struggle with only putting one photo on the page. I take 75-100 pictures per event. How do you handle that amount of pictures?
@JaymaMalme3 жыл бұрын
Karen, I totally get that! I don't often put one photo on a page - I also take a lot of photos and like to put a lot of them on a layout. I do one photo if that photo has its own important story to tell. But I don't scrapbook EVERYTHING. If I were to take 75-100 photos for an event, I'd either do its own mini-album, or narrow them down to JUST my favorites and keep it to 2-3 two-page layouts. It depends on the event and its importance in my story (scrapbook). For instance, this photo is one of LOTS that I took on the trip to visit my dad. I will probably have 3 two-page spreads. But I also have a super awesome secret for fitting TONS more photos on a spread without taking up more design real estate. I use Pocket Plus insert pages and Flip Flaps. I have a whole playlist dedicated to scrapbook videos using these products in order to fit more photos on a page. kzbin.info/aero/PLgKri3WrM98aTPyXKcrUdyvS6IH6QmY-7

Are the Leaf Layers Thin Cuts still available? I would like the set if so but I can’t find them on you website.

Sherry, they are gone now, I’m so sorry! They were so great! We do have this fabulous floral die set, though, with a leaf in it. I have cut the leaf cluster apart to use smaller sections. I used it in a video last month. jaymamalme.closetomyheart.com/retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=15703
