I’ve been tiling for years and started woodworking about 3 years ago and it’s always refreshing to see how someone else tackles a job. You kept it very simple and your videos are well made. Good job to you sir! I love your videos

@@MrBuildit Way too simple if you ask me. Why would you lay the most generic boring tile in your own personal bathroom? No inward boxes built into the shower walls, no nice color contrast with some white or black tiles, no patterns, no nothing. Just go to home depot and pick out some boring generic tile and cover your entire shower with it? Woulda been nice to see something a little bit more creative...

As a child I used to go work with my dad on his construction projects and it’s refreshing to see all the same equipments still being used and processes. This was about 20 years ago.. I hated it at the time but now I’m interested in these DIY projects. You also do a great job of keeping it simple, short and straight forward. You have my subscription and support man

Hi. I ve done a few house owner projects. U r doing great vids. We just did a tiled kitchen counter 24 inch porcelain tiles. 2 things - you stayed on ceramic. You could have mentioned that porcelain, or stone, may not work with a scratch and crack device. I like that you show the mistakes and the work around. 16 hours after setting our porcelain tiles we found that the powdered glue didnt work. Spent 2 hours, 3 of us, scraping the soft crumbly glue off both the tiles and the unsanded birch plywood substrate. The thinset had been in the bsmt 6 mths. I was quite surprised how quickly the volatile chemistry vanished. Replaced it with premixed, worked out great

Also I'm using an angle grinder to cut my tiles, it definitely gets the job done, but you have to be smart about it. Use protective gear - dust mask, googles and earmuffs. Also cut in a balcony, outside, or with windows open to quickly get rid of the dust.

He gives homeowners the illusion that it's just so easy. We get overrun with calls from homeowners that watched youtube videos, try it only to find out they have a mess on their hands. Many of the jobs have to be completely torn out and redone. Nothing like trying to pull shims that have been sitting between tile for weeks or months. And they all say but it didn't look that hard on the videos I watched🤣
