Retrologue is a great integrated instrument that probably have flown under the radar for many. I use it all the time. Not only does it have a sound that I really like, it is also very straight forward, intuitive and quick to work with. In addition to that, it is quite easy on the CPU, being an integrated Cubase VST-i that Steinberg themselves created and optimised!

Great tutorial, one of the best channels, by the way. I could throw out my TV at the moment. I ask myself how to manage these evolving sounds in a project the best way, editing the parameters and record them on the fly, how is this getting done? I´m a little bit confused by the amount of possibilities in DAWs.

Thanks a lot for that great tutorial...))) I've learned a lot just watching this. Only have a question. After all those manipulation, is there a trick to put anything back to default? Would like to know...Thanks in advance if you get to it.

The Cubase 10 stock instruments are so much better than FL Studio's.

Digital is on the brinks of collapsing if you don’t integrate the human aspect from physical control such as push or similar controllers such as ROLI seaboard , LUMI. As we are now able to detect bodily energy, we need to be able to express it in dynamic ways rather than fix approach. Things are going to change to biometric controls to read exact emotion to replicate or rather what you want to express. Do we need so many of same without new way to control them? Absolutely not as coding is ahead by leaps but no way to fully use it in dynamic settings to bodily reading, It’s time.

I agree with you! But that is a cool aspect of Retrologue 2, Padshop or HALion in combination with Cubase 10. Connect a Roli Seaboard or a Linnstrument and you can choose Note Expression input. Cubase automatically recognizes these controllers and you get full MPE, Plug and play, just like that. I use a linnstrument for most music input and Cubase 10 made my life much easier (9.5 or older was just a lot of config hassle). Also, all the expression can be edited per note inside Cubase, just double click it, which is quite nice. Another thing is Cubase used to have a plugin to control it with intel Leap motion expression, but it did not quite catch on. So the future is already here ;)
