1: Start with simple sweaters - plain colors: Gray, Navy 2: Be mindful of proportions - bulkier sweaters with looser jeans, close fit sweaters with close fit jeans 3: Add interest afterwards - add details after e.g. shoes, scarves, etc. 4: Layer correctly - mostly related to the cardigan, make sure the clothing underneath doesn't extend past your sweater 5: Have fun with your denim - mix up your colors

Antonio, I know that hoodies are not the classiest of clothes. But could you do a video on them? It would be really interesting to hear your opinion on them, as I really like to wear them every now and them

I agree, for me they're a wardrobe staple anyway, especially champion.

I am a student in the Netherlands, which means no car but cycling to uni. Which means sweating. Therefore, I prefer hoodies, since they usually have a zipper in the middle (which ordinary sweaters lack), which enables me to 'regulate my temperature' without having to 'undress' in a classroom.
@RealMenRealStyle10 жыл бұрын
Sebastian Kalsnes I would say steer clear of the things that everyone else is wearing. Hoodies with school names or logos on the front. If you need to wear layers, go for a solid v-neck sweater (that way you can show off you shirt).

david myers Are slim sweaters a thing? You can get slim shirts, right? (dress shirts in English I guess: not t-shirts but with buttons and long sleeves). Maybe look into that or ask for the concept in stores. The girls who work there are probably going to know what you are looking for.

Real Men Real Style I think it would be cool a wardrobe prospectus for a college student (how many sweaters, shoes ecc minimum you need and how many time you should "change" the wardrobe in average) and for a new worker who needs to wear a business attire too. Multiple "survivor buy list", one for each level of budget, can be helpful for every guy's needs. Thanks a lot and it's incredible having a conversation in the comments with you!
@MrNicoJac10 жыл бұрын
Real Men Real Style Maybe different budgets: so starting at "in college" to "first job" to "climbing the ladder" to "established." By this I mean getting started with the cheap basic essentials to not look awful (hyperbole), and different steps or stages in which one can upgrade their wardrobe as their funds increase. You could outline how many pieces of different kinds of clothing every stage needs, and then cover every stage specifically in an in-depth video? (Just a proposal, interested in your thoughts)

He's right about the red sweater. I have a great red sweater by Polo RL but sadly I only get to wear it maybe twice a year lol. I would recommend having a few of the following: 1) crewneck, 2) v-neck, 3), quarter-zip/full-zip, 4) buttoned cardigan, 5) shawl neck, 6) cable-knit, 7) patterns i.e. argyle, seasonal, etc. I would also recommend that they vary between cotton, cashmere, wool, and hybrid, with less emphasis on wool. When in doubt on color go with Gray or Navy. If you're layering with neutral colors, maybe choose a red tie or something if you want to add more character to the outfit. Lastly, make sure your sweaters vary in thickness. You don't want to only have thin sweaters and freeze, but you also don't want to be sweating at the dinner party either. That's all I got lol this guy know his stuff.

Remember when buying sweaters that darker colors will look dirty way faster. If you have problems with animal hair or machine washing try an ivory or off-white in cotton. For households with many pets i recommended a chaps sweater in Oatmeal Heather. This brand and specific color is budget friendly and will last a very very long time.

Heya Antonio, Thanks for this - it helped me make some decisions on what I want to look for next week. Some minor thoughts on improving the videos: 1) I highly prefer these kind of videos talking about something general that's useful for pretty much everyone than something highly specific such as the monk strap shoes or the suitcase videos. They're far more applicable and more useful 2) Just a minor thing - When you mention the article at the very beginning, why not start putting up an annotation on the side that you could point to, redirecting to the article? Not really important at all, just a cool little feature. Again, thanks for everything you've done so far. Keep it up!

I like sweaters and get many used ones still in good shape and color - I buy them unless the color is washed out although the color varies for men. I think any color suits a man OK - only pure/sweet pinks or purples in that domain, although many purples and lilacs that are elegant can look very good on a man. Overly sweet colors are not a good choice although an attractive elegant color does well

Real Men Real Style I agree - research seems to show that men who wear a certain amount of black and red - those two colors - seem to be successful (these colors are great although should not be entirely overused or it may give an extreme look) - brown is more modest although great for leather accessories. I think silver is elegant for men - especially for watches, eyeglasses - I have a metal watch and a pair of glasses with the frame in that color (though stylish black are also attractive) - grey/silver are conservative, neutralizing and safe colors. I also think belts look good on a man - a black one is very cool

Excellent video. Very helpful, very thorough. Got even more information than I initially expected. Keep up the good work. However, I will say that because you've helped me so much in this KZbin video, there's very little motivation for me to visit your website, which I am sure is your crown jewel that you've worked very hard on, so maybe leave a few things out so that people HAVE to check out your site? I don't know, just a few suggestions :)

Lol I always wear the same pullover for a week, especially when it's made out of natural wool it won't get dirty or start to stink. Do people seriously feel disgusted by that? Or is it only for "style" purpose that they change so often?

DallasGreen123 Body oils still manage their way on to the sweater. I think it should definitely be given a one or two day rest before being picked up again
