Inconsistent sizing between brands and even models is super frustrating. A 9 US should be a 9 US across the board. I get that width and shape is different, but the length should be pretty consistent for the same size.

The funny thing about US size 9 is, it's actually the same size across different brands. I wear US 9, that's how I know. (I have Nike adidas and puma boots.) 😂

With the point about standing up, that's very true. Another helpful tip- loosen up the laces before trying them on. Sometimes they come too tight out of the box or in the store.

I noticed how the types of boots can definitely affect this. I tried on a size 8 US pair of 17.1 nemeziz boots and an 8 US pair of Speedflow.1 boots, and the speedflow felt good on my feet while the nemeziz was really loose.

the x speedflow gives me og hypervenom vibes. for me its not like the magista or the superfly v because the technology isn't really all that new and revolutionary but the way it is all put together is so good and clear of everything else out rn, similar to the hypervenoms. ik everyone says they're the best boots very, but they really are the best boots ever.

But even that isn't always 100% accurate. It still tends to be a generic conversion where X US size is always X cm long.

Centimeters isn't a Japanese measurement, it's the WORLD measurement except the US.

@@justaregulardude2551 I know. What I meant is, the sizing chart of cleats can be US, UK, Europe and JP. The JP uses centimeters and regardless of the brand, that number is the same size for all brands. A 26.5 JP Nike is the same as a 26.5 JP Adidas. However, an 8 US Nike isn't sometimes the same as an 8 US Adidas...

@@louka3891 that's right I am not disagreeing with you one that but on all of my Nike, Adidas and Puma boots there is a CM size not JP the only brand that uses JP is Mizuno and that's understandable. Edit: My point is it's called CM on nearly all brands except Mizuno it's called JP which is the same as CM.

@soccerreviewsforyou Great vid, as always, but one thing I came for and didn't get was your opinion on HOW football boots are supposed to fit. I realize it's a lot of personal preference for most people, but you did mention "a snug fit." How snug? Probably not curl-your-toes tight like climbing shoes, but are you suggesting that your foot be hugged by the upper? Should your foot also be allowed to expand, as you also stated, length and width-wise? Or is it good to have it squeeze your foot a bit, so long as it's comfortable? I ask because some people prefer a looser shoe, and others a tight shoe fit, but what is considered proper to maintain optimum performance without causing injury? Thanks, mate.

Even when you order online you can see that Nike, Puma and Adidas has different sizes for example I wear EU 42 in an Adidas shoe that means my foot should be 25.9 Cm but for Nike 26.5 Cm and Puma is 27 Cm. I bought Puma 20.1 although the recommended foot size should be 27 Cm my feet fit with 2 Cm of head room despite my foot being 26 Cm long it's just bizarre. Edit: I am planning to buy a new boot because I sometimes hit the ground when I am playing.

Would sizing differ boot by boot? I ordered the tiempo 9 elite ag and they seem to have this extended forefoot that makes them half a size too long. However, I have the pro ag as well and they fit truer to size.

If you're asking about sizing/fit variation with the exact same boot, one pair to the next, typically no. If you're talking about the same boots with different soleplates, there can definitely be variation depending on which boot it is.

I hate how the Predator Accuracy line are all slightly different in fit and quality. The Accuracy .1 is wide enough but expensive and the .3 is cheap enough but a bit narrow, it fucks me off.

I’m actually curious and I’d like to know if you’ve ever precisely measured the length of your feet. I feel like I’m very unlucky because shoes that are size 9 are usually slightly too tight for me, while 9.5 are usually a bit loose. My feet are exactly 10.2 inches (with socks), so I’m wondering if you could help me decide on what size I should get. FYI, I’m probably going for the Adidas Predator Edge.1. You always have to try them on for at least few hours. I use adidas copas size 11.5 and x1 size 13. Peredators 19.1 12.5. Go figure
