Great video Davie, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 🙂 I love the idea of an app with the product, there are some skin care stores out there that dropship and they have A.I photo analysers which let you know what skin type you are and what skin products you would need to buy. Thank you Davie. What do you do when you launch a product but you notice that there is another store that bought the exact same thing from Alibaba and is running ads on FB? Should you just drop the product and move on?
@DavieFogarty
@DavieFogarty 2 жыл бұрын
That is common in dropshipping and unfortunately you cannot do anything about that with all the ad spy tools available. It is inevitable that you will be copied! Unless that competitor has a patent on the product, you can continue to launch your product! Obviously just aim to put your own unique spin on it to be able to create differentiation

Hey Davie, It definitely seems like I’m onto a real winner at the moment from my results so far, ever green market, replenishable, definitely has the ability to be a long term brand. However I’ve currently got the really low Facebook budget limit that’s automatically set by them, $70 AUD. Do you know how long this takes to surpass? We’re taking the time to create our own content to be even better and so on, but we’re really in a slump with our inability to optimise and scale with this $70 a day limit that is implemented by FB currently.
@peterpostawski803
@peterpostawski803 2 жыл бұрын
You’re just going to have to advertise with that limit for 2 weeks to maybe even a month. That’s how it is with all fresh ad accounts once you have some ad spend contact the support team and ask to have it raised and even then you might still be limited to 200 dollars a day or even less. Takes sometime but the more ad spend you have the more Facebook will get comfortable and allow you to spend more and more but you will have to keep messaging their support and ask for your limit to get raised.
@DavieFogarty
@DavieFogarty 2 жыл бұрын
IT will generally take about 2 weeks of consistent spending to be able to remove the ad amount limits.

Hi Davie - can you dive more into unit economics & margins? You mentioned below 40% gross margin is not good, I'm assuming you're talking about lower priced products? What if you're selling a $500 dollar product, how does that affect margins? i.e. is a 40% margin with that kind of product price more acceptable?

Ive got a question for you Davie. Im trying to help my girlfriend expand her fitness brand. Shes Ecuadorian and her clothing is made in Ecuador right now. obviously capital constraints are an issue, and Ive considered manufacturing in china, but i feel like her story is about Ecuador and her family (the brand Elsa is named after her grandma). Sure we could manufacture in china and call it an "ecuadorian brand" but Would it be worth it for us to manufacture in Ecuador to bolster our story and brand value prop "made in ecuador" if it meant increasing cost, or is there really no way to avoid manufacturing in China if we want to be competitive?

Once you begin to hit the stage of 7 figures, it's important that you need to stop managing every task yourself and hire those that can handle those tasks just as well as you could. The first thing you would need to understand that there isn't quite any level to mastery to dropshipping itself as it's a continual journey of learning and innovation to stay ahead of the crowd. Sounds like at this stage, you are also experiencing paralysis by analysis and just need to get started. Choose a few niches you are passionate in and just begin as once you start to see success or failure with your first and second products, you will be able to develop your dropshipping eye which will eventually lead you to your next products!
