Honestly, one of the best instructional videos I’ve ever witnessed. Very concise and very helpful for every beginner out there. And your heart is just too pure for this world. I hope those in your life give you the support you see and deserve. Keep seeing this world the way you are 💗

This is the sweetest comment EVER 😭 thank you so much, honestly hearing that makes me want to keep going (even when doing art full time can be so discouraging sometimes) - so happy you found it helpful. ❤️ cheers to you, friend!

The first tip is so true! I posted a recent drawing and realized what I wanted to improve on. (Anatomy/hands/composition/colors)It’s all progress from that point. It’s true that you need to have bad drawings to have good drawings.

Absolutely! Every bad drawing is like a big giant "hint" bubble telling you what to study next haha

copying reference, whether an animal or a disney character was how i learned to draw and then took all of that learning into drawing my own creatures or using my own photos as a base reference for a bigger piece

Great video! I feel like pulling from different sources and people is a lot like research- you always want to cite it. Not only to credit them, but so you know why you incorporated parts of their technique.

It can be a lot of research but that's honestly the fun part! It's actually so easy to get caught up collecting inspiration that I've been guilty of telling myself I'm being productive when I'm actually just procrastinating starting my own work haha. But yes definitely cite the source :)
