One that's wet, in an actual pool. God I can't wait to get into the pool. I miss the pool. A LOT.

Bilateral breathing, especially for the 2+ mile endurance swims. Would also love to be sub-2:00/100y one day

Definitely the rotation. I haven’t realized how technical the freestyle stroke can be. Thanks guys for the tips!

Really digging the camera and color grading work GTN 👊. Great tips, I’ve started recently pool swimming again, after nearly a year of only open water. It’s good to get back to basics and drills every once in a while.

Agree with all of these. The three most important things when swimming front crawl are technique, technique and technique. So do those drills but understand why you're doing them. This video does a good job on the why. Thanks for all your content, GTN.

Couldn’t agree more. The most powerful person in the world could throw everything they’ve got at swimming, but without technique they won’t go anywhere.

Thanks for the excellent video! I love the graphics and presentation for this video. All of the key points are covered. Freestyle is my most challenging stroke and I struggle with the breathing. I find when I exhale through my nose the chlorine gives a stinging sensation and I just want to go back to breaststroke! I will try these tips and hopefully I can improve. Thanks so much!!!

I've always struggled to do distance and someone observed that I'm "not very flat"(so my leags are down and I am moving through the water with my body angled. That's a lot of drag. Head, Breathing and rotation seems to be key for that but (yes?) I will try all the tips - VERY helpful

I'm swimming 1:24/100yard paces long distances, I use form goggles to track my speed. Sometimes my fewer stroke count lengths I'm pushing 1:15, is that because I'm more streamline during those runs and getting a little sloppy when it goes to 1:24? I can't figure out what I'm doing differently to make such a large jump.

Good tips to start. Rolling on your axis will help with many of the items mentioned here: head position, hand entry, pushing out the back and best of all breathing. Apologies I don’t know the female presenters name, but your right hand is not holding together. Without seeing you overhead I feel like because your fingers aren’t together you are actually entering and then moving your hand/arm away from your axis. Keep the fingers and thumb together so it cuts through the water better and is easier to guide into your axis and you can get on top of it for the first pull. And tuck that thumb in so you get more surface area for the pull 🙂.
