I had a stress fracture last year from running through the pain of shin splints, this year I felt them coming back so I took 3 weeks rest full of stretching, massaging and strengthening and they’ve felt very strong when running and barely give me an issue

It's really annoying that no one has the guts to give a definitive answer. I know that there isn't a definitive answer, but something along the lines of "from what we currently know, shoes X are best at preventing injuries". I run for health reasons, so I don't give a damn about performance, and the amount of ambiguity is super annoying.

Not a pro here but I am ?Gobsmacked? How much of a difference zone 2 training has done in the last few weeks. I did a first 13,40km then a 7km the next day and am getting faster and better in strides. It’s really made the runs much more enjoyable. I run in the on cloud monsters.

Caffeine will deplete your sodium quickly so just be aware of that. I'm a big fan of espresso so I consume extra salt to offset it

Pro Tip: pre-lubing the interior of your wetsuit with Suave coconut conditioner then dipping the wetsuit in the water before putting on is a way more efficient way to put on the wetsuit than using plastic bags that can be lost in the water or gloves from the manufacturer. Goes on soooo quick. Plus when you finish your swim and run to your first transition the conditioner allows you to kick the wetsuit off equally as fast. You’ll blow the competition away. 👍
