There is an important thing to note: Spell damage is different from magical damage. Spell damage increase means all sources of spell damage will get amplified (Magical, physical, pure), while magical damage increase will only affect magical damage. This means, the 15 spell amplification talent from Grimstroke will amplify all sources, while effects such as Ancient Seal from Skywrath and Ethereal Blade will only amplify magical.

about spell amp, you didnt mention double damage rune

Doesn't the Sange & Kaya increase the damage that Revenant's Brooch does because it increases your stats, and therefore, your right click damage?

Yes - but only an increase of ~16 dmg was expected. I had also done a quick check on my findings with the wiki (liquipedia.net/dota2/Revenant%27s_Brooch) and it mentions that spell amplification affects it (sources here - liquipedia.net/dota2/Spell_Damage#Outgoing_Spell_Damage_Manipulation . Scroll a bit for item sources) . The above item sources do not mention Shivas and I feel spell damage increase isnt hence same as spell amp. Thanks for the comment! And let me know if something doesnt seem right - would be happy to fix and incorporate 😄
