@RTCDigitalS yes. If you had an Auto Sheet Feeder before the Cameo 5 was released, you would need a new connector plate from Silhouette and would need to contact Silhouette if in the U.S. and if outside the U.S., contact your retailer where you bought the Sheet Feeder.

I just sent my auto sheet feeder back cause I had soo many problems with it not feeding or registering anything. It didn't 1 sheet after 20 tries and im done with it.

I usually put a square of invisible tape on the black square and then apply white light on the machine itself so the sensor can pick up more "signal"'; works every time. I don't have a feeder, but I find the device utterly useless. Good idea, except the fact that you cannot use a matt makes it useless for 99% of cuts.

@@benbenhomeandlifestyle5122 the AutoSheet feeder is used with materials that you can cut without a mat. Materials like sticker papers that are kiss cut, not cut all the way through or using the pop out cutting feature with cardstock. This is why it doesn't use a mat. It can feed multiple sheets of materials consecutively through the machine to be cut. It is not an accessory for all users.

So this machine is only for print and cut? I watched videos and thought it could cut out svg's like Dreaming tree uses. I don't do stickers at all My daughter got this for me for Christmas. I will feel bad if it's useless for anything other than stickers

Can you leave the sheet feeder in its position on the silhouette or do you need to move it for other media like cutting leather or something else???

You would need to move it and unplug it all. The cutting mat would hit the Sheet feeder if you try to keep it attached.

Hi! Is the feeder only for print and cut? Can color cardstock be used with print and cut?

Yes, it's primary purpose is print and cut projects. Colored cardstock is hit or miss with print and cut as the optical eye may have a harder time picking up the black lines for the exact placement on the registration marks. Here is a close up of how print and cut works kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXi6mmd3Z9eCo8U&feature=shares The optical eye is just a laser that turns on to read the marks, any color nearby and in the cross-hatched area of the print and cut can interfere with the reading of the marks.

I had plans on getting the feeder for the pro. Now I’m not sure couldn’t use it for thicker material that’s a draw back. 😞

It's designed for the thickness of sticker paper. You would have to test with the thicker materials to know but my test with the laminate on top failed.

Suddenly my sticker paper isn’t working. It used to work so well and now it’s crunching every single page. So frustrating.

Are you using a Cameo or Portrait? If Cameo, do you have the feet under it extended?

This product might be useful when used with the pens and sketches. Other than that, if you cannot use a matt, what's the point of this machine??? I make queues of 20-30 documents to cut, and all there is to do is remove the ready matt and replace by another to cut; cutting starts right away. Why waste money on this device?

The company thought it would be useful for users like sticker makers who are cutting hundreds of sticker sheets a day and do not need a mat to do that. I didn't make the product, only tested it and provided information for those who want to use it.
