Loans are usually waived for corporates cause otherwise there would be massive job losses and banks will lose money, which is bad for economy as a whole. It is true that true capitalism if company fails company should fail, but its not something people would ever accept in reality. Freebies are not this and is way bad, freebies are literally a communist tactic, it does nothing and getting it you are somehow not evening the score with companies or hurting them in any capacity, all you are doing is making everyone poorer and incetivizing the state to focus on this rather than development.

I kind of feel that both Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi may not be taking a backseat, but they don't seem to be in the front seat either in these elections. It's really a battle of state leaders, and the Narendra Modi amplification is far less pronounced this time. Empowering state leaders and sidelining Gandhis is probably the best way forward for INC. With the Caste census demand, INC may have not damaged the BJP, but certainly poured cold water on its succession plan.

Shhhh we cant speak on Kerala, West Bengal, the beheading of an innocent tailor in Rajastan. These are all no go areas for The Print and SG. And he has been doing this since ages. Basic character of these channels and also like Mojo Sotey, The wire, Rubbish Kumar is to some how paint the BJP in poor light, turn a blind eye to crimes in congress, Left ruled states and divert the attention of readers towards anti BJP narrative. For last 5 years Pilot and Gehlot had ugly public spats but for SG the narrative to be built is how Vasundhara and Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's son in law were not given tickets in the first list. So their names not appearing in first list is also passed off as internal unrest in BJP. I always feel if BJP had such committed boot lickers in the media on its side then BJP would have to rely a bit less on the charisma of Modi. The devotion of these pro congress mouthpieces in the print and electronic media is something BJP also needs to cultivate. Even after blacklisting 14 journos congress is seen as party of great virtue, democratic and Modi as the autocratic one. Wah....what levels journalism is stooping too.
