Hi Cinecom ~ i notice that you cut your speach and sticked them together with a "zoom in" and "normal" between them. Thats interesting, ill try that. Would you be up for say a "top 5 best transitions" at the moment im new and only using blur and fade. What other ways are there to get from A to B footage please? Btw youre lighting and sound are awesome! thank you for your videos

Blur, fade, zoom in/ zoom out, pan left/ right/ up/ down. Mixing blur into the transitions helps as well. For me, I spent a lot of time trying to find the best transitions, but I watched movie and 99% of the cuts are just typical A to B cuts with nothing special. Look to add more sfx: swoosh, swells, rises, drops, whomp, woosh, etc. There are a lot of weird words people use for "cinematic-like" editing which come from focusing on sfx.

Question regarding these mainstream music tracks in YT videos. What's the max time I'm allowed to use them in each song? Isn't it 9 seconds or less? That's what I've heard so I'm not sure how this option works without getting a strike or demonirized.

If you have a license for a song you can use it as long as you want. Otherwise, you are technically not allowed to use the song at all. The idea of being allowed to use it for 9 seconds or less is based on the fact that the KZbin's content ID system will often only recognize songs when they are used for more than a few seconds, but this is not very reliable.

I have been told by many professionals in the film and visualization businesses that using mainstream music is NOT desireable. Drawing too much attention to the music only takes away from the experience of the visuals. The music and sounds, they suggest, should be a subtle compliment, but not a distraction, to the video.

So ok assume I pay lickd or whoever for a well known track. and upload it to youtube. whats to stop it just being flagged by WMG group or whoever and don't you have to then get into a discussion with them? in the meantime, you aren't earning off your video?

@@preferredimage When you subscribe to platforms like Lickd you login with your KZbin channel. That channel will then be allowlisted for using the music you obtain a license for*. Basically: KZbin knows that you used a song owned by some artist or label, but the video won't be claimed if it's on the allowlist. *for mainstream songs on Lickd you need to pay per video, so only one specific video will be allowlisted.

A personal revie of licked and why i wont use it. I love the idea of licked, but trying it and you find its limitations verry fast. Not many songs i achaly want to use, i tryed using wipit by devo and you not alowed licence this song in your contory. Bearly any popular songs releaced befor 2021. its got a good selection but songs on it arnt songs i would use. and its roylty free libary is ok. not amazing.
