Hey .. Hasselblad friend! You never have to apologise for your English. Ok? Apart from the fact that you are easy to understand, English is a second language for you. I am sure your Italian is very good. 👌 Thank you for sharing your knowledge here. The majority of 'new generation' Hasselblad owners do not own a Hasselblad Manual, so they are largely dependent on what they find online. You're a star. Grazie mille!

The battery problem actually exists. If you use a battery block it is a little too tight in the compartment. The voltage can even be so high that the lock wheel breaks out. It is better to press the battery together with the cable clamp (e.g. with a vice, carefully). The container with the contacts is placed in the other compartment. The plastic body of the child surprise fits wonderfully. It's also good that the plastic gives way a little and a balance is possible in both shafts. Contacts can be, for example, the small brass closures for mail bags. Have fun building and taking pictures. Martin

Magnifying glass: Doesn't the flip-up viewfinder have a magnifying glass built-in? It least the one I tested did. ^^ Anyway, neat tips! It might be obvious, but if you have more than one film cartridge, you can load film for various ISO denominations, making the Hassie function _almost_ like a modern digital camera with variable ISO.

I had the Hasselblad 500 C/M camera, but I got tird of the blackened top view in the finder when using a macro or tele lens, so I got the Hasselblad 2000 FC camera and l got the lenses Zeiss Distagon 50mm 2.8, Zeiss Planar 110mm 2.0, Zeiss Tele-Tessar 350mm 4.0 and Zeiss Mutar 2X, a great set of lenses, I can very highly recommend these 3 Hasselblad F-lenses plus the 2X ! For the 500 C/M camera I had the Zeiss Macro-Planar 120mm 4.0 and the Zeiss Tele-Tessar 250mm 4.0, but the Zeiss Planar 110mm 2.0 with the Zeiss Mutar 2X was so good that I did not need the Zeiss Macro-Planar 120mm 4.0 and Zeiss Tele-Tessar lenses 250mm any more.

Please use the button on the film back to attach to the body. You’re slamming it which will wear the film back and damage the camera over time. Slide it to the right and gently couple the back and body. We are custodians of these beautiful cameras.

Great vid. Very much to the point. I'm watching auctions online and I'll buy a 500 C/M when I find one at a price I like but your video sated my apetite a bit at least. I dig your accent btw. Your speak with a good flow so it's not bothering at all. By that and from your name I deduce you're italian. Correct? Cheers from Sweden.

please don't slab your your loupe on your groundglass, you can unalign your ground glass and then focusing becomes really difficult ;) Also the 9volt battery is too big, and puts too much stress on the doorlach of your elx, at least I found it out with mine, and that's what's the repair men told me. He advice me to go for a 6v battery adaptor piece, word also good ;) But for the rest, nice info, and like the photo's

Just got a beautiful beater 500C with 50 mm f4 Zeiss Distagon and I just love it ! I'm thinking it's about a 35mm equivalent lens which is great for me because I prefer wide angle. But I will be looking for the normal lens also. I just learned a few things and really appreciate it. Your English is great by the way. Had no problems understanding you at all. Great video too, thanks. Larry Mac

Back focused on image 4:00 while lecturing "how to" on critical focus in between slapping the film back as hard as possible to the body and also speaking a new language. At least the English was right
@otnol3 жыл бұрын
You realise those are scanned negatives compressed in jpg, then put in a mp4, compressed in premiere and then uploaded on youtube and compressed again by youtube itself, right? As for the slapping of the back: it's built to be used like that. Everybody who really uses these cameras do it like that. All the others are just people who (maybe) own a Hasselblad. I don't babysit my gear. I use it. I Want the pictures and I want to be fast where I can be fast. Never had a problem. Anyway, if you know faster and better ways to put the film back on possibly with one hand only, why don't you publish a video about it? Sorry for my english.
@Dannnnnnnnnyy3 жыл бұрын

Great video, I don't know why you talked about your english, its fine. Do not force the back on to the body liike you are doing, it wears the catch for the back. You should press the release button before you put the back on.

Hi. I paused viewing to suggest that you move the microphone closer to you for making these videos. There is too much echo in the room. Two other alternatives: 1) If the microphone is integrated with the camera, get a plug in microphone if possible; 2) Hang drapes or similar sound dampening material to control the sloppy sound characteristics of the room.

stop slamming the camera back. use the slider to put it on more gently, pal. 5:53 good luck with that technique lol

hehe. Used the technique a lot, can confirm it works very well for short people like me. For the slamming... I have 3 bodies, 6 backs and never had a problem. These cameras are really built last ;)
