The T-mode has one extra “feature”. When in the lens is in bulb mode and the shutter is switched to T the lens shutter will be open until you switch the switch on the shutter button from T to O. Very convenient for long exposures.

If You think THIS Hasselblad is one of a kind, I strongly recommend You to search for Rolleiflex SL66 (or 66e 66x 66se), You would be blown away. From purely technical standpoint, it's just on another level

Hola Nico.

I have a question I know you probably won't see this but I just bought my 500cm a couple months ago and haven't really been using it due to it not really focusing correctly every shot I take seems to be out of focus and im pretty sure its not my vision because I take the same shots on my slr's (while wearing my contacts) and they come out very sharp. any suggestions as to why this is happening? a buddy of mine took a photo on my camera and it came out pretty sharp. so I know its not the camera. this is my first medium format camera ive ever bought but im starting to regret dishing out that much money for a camera that I essentially can't even use due to this issue. anyone have any suggestions? (my vision is terrible I wear contacts) should I perhaps start using my glasses when I use it?

I just got me one and was watching your video so I can learn. I noticed that when I take off the film back it lets me trigger the shutter burton. It will not trigger with the back on even when I remove the darkslide. What am I missing?

fantastic intro. One callout (maybe I missed it): do you need to depress the shutter release the entire duration of the shutter speed (e.g. at 1s, hold release for at least 1s)

Yes. If you prematurely let go, the secondary baffle closes and the film is not properly exposed.

Just received my 503cw that I bought on eBay. I'm new to your channel and new to medium format and trying to get familiar breaking the camera down. Is there a trick to taking off the A12 film back? It seems to be jammed. I've tried everything from watching your episode on "How to use a Hasselblad 500cm ll How to" but can't figure it out. Any tips or tricks you can provide would be much appreciated. The camera advances and shoots with no problem and using the shutter release seems to be working fine. FYI - I have not loaded any film in the camera, would that make a difference? I just can't get the release button on top of the film back to disengage. Seems like it's frozen. I am a new subscriber to your channel and enjoy watching and ready to learn. Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.

@@NicosPhotographyShow Thanks for the reply. I did take out the dark slide and that didn’t fix the problem. I ended up taking the camera to an authorised HASSELBLAD repair and they were able to loosen the button to get the film back off. They told me the button was tight probably from not having used the camera for a long time. Not having used a hasselblad before I didn’t know how much pressure to put on the button without breaking it. They did not charge me for their time and now I’m using the camera without problem and loving it. I appreciate you taking the time to reply and enjoying watching and learning from your channel. Thanks Demos

@NicosPhotographyShow
@NicosPhotographyShow Жыл бұрын
The Hasselblad backs have an ISO reminder, but unless you have a metered prism the camera doesnt really care what film is inside. Most users use an external light meter and they set the ISO there, the back is a good reminder in case you change often.
