Agreed on the Rosus’s axe. The skill does so much damage for cheap FP. Only downside is the lack of tracking but it might be broken if it did. Anyway, It’s super fun for a skeleton themed build (there are quite a few skeleton type weapons, skills, even spirit ashes)

For me it’s a war cry pickaxe build with a frost infusion (it gets decent scaling and it takes two charged heavys to give the enemy frost.) Sure the Rusted anchor gets more damage but the pickaxe has better stance damage and thus leans into a crit build.

Ive said it before and ill say it again: The erdsteel dagger is the best weapon to use with black flame blade. Multi hit talismans and the old lord talisman reaps awesome rewards

Rosus' is so strong. Considering how fast you can upgrade a somber weapon this thing makes a cake walk out of the main game. Also I love how every single move is good. One or two handed. R1, R2, charged R2 and the AoW, you can work with any of these. I even played around with guard breaks for some time with it and it was fun. If you're a evenly spread Str Int build you should definetly give it a try.

I'm intrigued by Blade of Mercy without the Dagger Talisman... what do people think? It seems like you want Dagger Talisman first because Blade of Mercy is only good after a stance break AND a riposte. If you get a break and miss the riposte, it does nothing. Have people had success with Blade of Mercy and no Dagger Talisman?

The armor set is like free damage where the smithing talisman boosts one aspect of his kit and takes up a talisman slot. The resource of the armor slots are less valuable than the resource of a talisman slot.

I'm curious, instead of a normal shield ranking where you just list off which are the best for defense physical/elemental, what about a shield ranking based on their availability? Some shields like the Pillory shield suck not only because of their stats, but their location as well, whereas the Fingerprint Shield is amazing, however many players never find it because of the location in the Shunning Grounds!
