⚡the text has a cool glow effect around the edges. I really enjoyed working with the text. I would like to see more such lessons. Very often it is required to create titles for trailers and it looks professional. In particular, the logo for advertising. So do more of this. I will especially note the Node demonstration for understanding what to eat with what. The most difficult thing in creating such a composition is always understanding how to properly link the chain with the desired effects. It's hard to get used to after AE)))

This is a great video. @ approximately 8:48 I am am trying to figure out why the blur on the edges of the text will only extend away from the edges after creating the solid border if there is a rectangle in the variblur foreground input.
@MattMcCool0Ай бұрын
The variblur only processes pixels within the domain of definition. The invisible border extending beyond the text also extends its DoD...it's really just a cheat. But you can also use a SetDomain node before the yellow input of the variblur to extend the domain. This is a good thing because variblur can be pretty heavy at times. You wouldn't want it processing unnecessary pixels.
@M.C.A.T.Ай бұрын

4:32 interesting is how you set the 3-D representation of the text. You skipped too much. What are the first settings for this 3-D text? Please make up for it! Thank you greetings from Germany
@kstalk09 Жыл бұрын
This is a FANTASTIC lesson! I've just finished building v1 of the text reveal and am quite 'tickled' that it was as straight forward and understandable as it was - BRAVO! A quick question though, how hard do you think this would be to apply to 3D Text in fusion? I've done a significant amount of comps in fusion to consider myself a 'Fusion 3D Intermediate Amateur', so am really questioning if this might be easier to do with particles enclosed inside 3D text? Or alternatively, although I've never used the 3D Noise node before, (but have used FN to create texture materials) Any thoughts on this? I suppose I'm just asking an opinion on which direction to go in to evolve your demo into a 3D scene. TNX IN ADVANCE and again, GREAT WORK!
@MattMcCool0 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I guess using the fast noise as a material on the 3D text would get you pretty close. You could also use a Displace3D fed by the same fast noise (with some blur after) and point it at a 2nd camera to control the direction of the displacement (similar to X/Y refraction). I think you could combine that with some fancy particles and get some interesting results.
@kstalk09 Жыл бұрын
@@MattMcCool0 I think you may have just provided me with the inspiration to find out - perhaps I can share the finished version if I manage to make it presentable (or of course, the 'almost finished' version since when are we ever really 'done' a comp in Fusion... are we? hehe) Tnx for the feedback - I'll wait impatiently for your NEXT AWESOME TUT!
@synkrotron Жыл бұрын
okay, sub'd... I need more ideas like this and will check out what else you have regarding the fast noise... I have been kicking the backside out of that one for the last nine months or so to create abstract graphics for my music videos what I like to use is a fast noise followed by an edge detect, and then use mirrors to give me rosette/kaleidoscope type effects but I think I have pushed my experimentations to the limit, now, and it is getting a little bit boring cheers, andy
@MattMcCool0 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching :) Another fun thing to try; you could add the filter node and use the Sobel type. Maybe with a brightness/contrast right before with the low and high clamped tightly and clipped blacks and whites. This will allow you to get sharper "edges" which could look nice with some glows and other effects.
