One of the greatest tutorials! Other tutorials just say: "This is node try connecting other nodes and then you get this." *shows ultra smooth footage* This really made me think that I am not that stupid for fusion tab :D THANK YOU

I’m honestly so glad to hear that. It’s very common that KZbinrs won’t demonstrate the philosophy behind nodes, but once you understand how they work the way they do…they’re SO easy. I promise you can use the fusion tab! It’s my favorite part of Resolve! I hope you consider subscribing!!

I really love the way you teach lessons with no extra cheese on the pizza. You just get to the point and get on with it. You don't try to be funny or cute. You just teach. You are so much easier to learn from because your lessons are organized to the point. You show how and why things connect which is the key to learning Fusion. Only sonduckfilms comes close. They are also great.

Hi Ethan - Great tutorial 👍 The only thing I would suggest is to either lower the background music or just eliminate it altogether. I found myself having to go back and rewatch certain sections of the video because the music was, at least to my ears, louder than what you were explaining in the video and it seemed somewhat distracting. Other than that, very informative video!

Great explanation, it does seem like more steps than ae, how do you offset the animation, apply another transform node to just the text for example?
@EthanRobbins21 күн бұрын
Hi there! I want to make sure I’m understanding your question correctly, and if I’m not mistaken, it seems you’re inquiring about offsetting the position of the text rather than the timing of the text’s animation. And in that case, if you wanted to preserve the settings designated in the existing nodes, then you are correct, all it would take is just another transform node. You can stack however many instances of whatever node you want to achieve your desired effect. And it’s nice to be able to see all of said nodes laid out in front of you. As for the comparison to AE, I definitely think that this is probably faster than AE (or at least for myself, anyways). I can’t speak for everybody, but I think that if speed was my goal, I could probably set up this animation from scratch in under 45 seconds. But I would consider myself expert level, so I would hope I could get it done that fast. Ease of use might be different for other people. One of the other reasons I prefer Fusion to AE is what I had touched on before: you can see all of your nodes laid out in front of you rather than buried away in different pre-comps and layer groups. Everything flows visually, literally speaking. Hope this helps! :)
@flyingfishdesign6220 күн бұрын
@@EthanRobbins thanks for responding, I've been using AE for some time and I think it's just a matter of getting my head around a node-based workflow, but it's a worthy journey :)
@EthanRobbins20 күн бұрын
@flyingfishdesign62 I would definitely agree. I had been in the later-based Adobe system for 12 years when I decided to make the jump to working with nodes and I’m honestly frustrated I didn’t do it sooner. It works so much better in my opinion. Definitely would recommend learning it. I hope you consider subscribing if you think you can learn anything from my videos! :)

Very nice tutorial. I just wanted to ask how you got the davinci UI so small. Or is it the monitor scaling?
@EthanRobbins23 күн бұрын

@EthanRobbins31 минут бұрын
You could do that if you so chose, I just can’t stand adobe software and I think it sucks for what it is. That’s just my personal opinion though, if it works for you, then by all means use it! The reason I prefer DaVinci is because everything you could possibly need is just in one software. You don’t need to bounce it around between this software, and then import it into a different software, and then export it and load it into premiere…none of that. It’s an all in one package that’s more stable than Adobe

Different things work better for different people. As long as you find what works for you, that’s what’s best
@rano1232121 күн бұрын
Resolve is extremely stable, I'm using it professionally for over 5 years now and I've had less than 5 crashes in 5 years, that's less than the hourly crashes for adobe users. But the crashes on your PC is happening either due to bad drivers or it being underpowered, make sure your computer is over the recommended specs instead of blaming the software for not running on the hardware it's not supposed to run.
