Mind pump is so amazing. The constant giving they do is going to change so many peoples lives. I am following a program and there are things I can’t do yet, but with their coaching every day through KZbin and the reminders about the process it keeps me on the path to a better body that’s not tied to my happiness or worth. It’s so important to love yourself and approach health and fitness out of love and care.

I like Adam but I love Sal and I could listen to Sal read the dictionary for 8 hours straight lol. Even when the guys tell us what we already know, I just play the entire video anyway and listen to it as I'm running errands or doing chores. I find it soothing and relaxing and I like that it helps drill these principles into my head

Small steps, Implement one or a few at a time. Don't go overboard. Start with increasing your water and meeting your protein goals. Add a 10-minute walk twice a day. After you have successfully done that for a couple weeks, then think about adding a few more steps, like cutting out ultra processed foods like soda. Adding too much at once is overwhelming both mentally and physically

How about shift workers where sleep is hard to manage. Which area can we improve to offset not being 100% on sleep?
@Maia-d7m2 ай бұрын
I am a shift worker. Before I moved night shift (at my choice), everyone warned me that I’m gonna gain weight due to the circadian rhythm messed up. So I *always* do some things to make sure I’m on a good sleep routine: 1). First thing I wake up, I drink the biggest quantity of water of the day at once (1 litre). My body used to it and when the kidneys will take this shower my body will know sleep time is over and time to wake up. 2). I get out in sun (even if is cloudy) and take natural light on my eyes after waking up. 3). I follow same sleep time every day. 4). Before sleep I will have the foods that I know give me good sleep (sometimes a bit of more starch, sometimes a bit of more fat - salmon, boiled egg, bit of sour cream, sometimes bit of more fruit, it depends). 4). Before bedtime I will do the things that help me relax: a nice bath, a hot shower, feet massage, stretching, skin care routine, whatever. 5. I make sure at the end of the day, I am physically tired (active job or workout, physical activity). 6. Windows blackouts + a beanie I wear to cover my eyes while I sleep. And 7: I figured out, listening to a podcast on a subject that interests me, while most lights off in my bedroom, willl help tremendously to shut that brain chatter down instantly, and the more I want to focus and stay awake and listen, the faster I fall asleep (that’s max 10 minutes). I sleep 6-8 hours average at night and that’s enough for me. During my days off work I will definitely have one big meal followed by a long extra nap 4-8 hours and I start the new week always fresh. Been doing night shift now +2 years and I stayed lean and no problems but I do the things I said every day.

I'm still trying to figure out how to GAIN weight. I've been raising my calories from 2500, 2600, 2700 and now 2800 and still nothing's moving on the scales. It's these electrode scales at the gym so it gives me the bodycomp too...no muscle growth, no fat gain or loss either. It seems to stay the same no matter what.

Sounds like you need to add many more calories. Like 500 more minimum, mostly protein. I'm still in the recomp phase, but haven't had much fat loss success though bc I eat too much 😅 I am much stronger though. PRs like every other week. (Edit: mostly newly gains I'm assuming, but I also haven't added much weight to the scale. I just know building muscle takes a butt load of calories)
@mohamadsorya67182 ай бұрын
@@ContraryContradictiondon't give information you're not equipped to give. He's obviously above 15% bf so 500 calories are an aggressive jump... Instead 250 increases for 2 weeks , if scale goes up, stop increasing.. again EVERY 2 WEEKS. The body is a very smart machine, it responds through accumulated calories, not just daily

I love everything here and everything mind pump has to offer. But he claimed going from 30%-10% is a 6-8 month journey. Is that really possible? I feel I'm doing everything correctly and I am about 7 months in and I am not close to 10%
@rabajr9113 ай бұрын
It is possible but pretty much everything has to be on point. 6-8 months 26-34 weeks roughly. Say losing 1lb per week and starting roughly 200lbs for easy math it’s possible. But this is assuming someone is actually 30% starting. I feel that many are higher than they believe which can skew the numbers in their heads. Either way best of luck 👍🏻

fast 24-72 hours at a time while going on long walks. refeed with unprocessed food hitting protein targets, and lift weight. do not do "low calorie" eating, grazing, or snacking.... fasting means zero calorie which leads you to preserve muscle as growth hormone (GH) increases, vs. frequent low calorie eating which triggers insulin and suppresses GH leading to muscle loss
