@@BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU Definitely subscribed and purchased. I love lasso and started doing it out of necessity because of an injured shoulder. None of my Professors were Lasso guys so I lacked details much needed. Your instructionals fixed that problem.

Osss! I’m not new to this game - and this is the first time seeing the opposite side knee push attack to back take! I have a strong scissors/knee push but now I’m fairly certain I am going to be super obnoxious from that position! Osss!

Thank you so much for replying, seeing it made my day! Yes please 2 on 1 would be a great start! If you can make a video on that it would be great!! I also think it would help me and I think others if we focus on most common attack positions, such as when opponent is in closed guard but he gets up. May be one from side control, top and the back.

Could you do some videos on stopping guard passes/retaining open guard? I'm getting passed all the time and I'm having to base my game from either half/quarter guard or, more often, side control (with me on the bottom). I have the feeling that I'm either moving wrong or focusing on the wrong thing or BOTH. But I can't see what it is I'm not getting. I know I'm missing something because there are a number of guys I REALLY have to work to pass their guard, but I can't figure out what they are doing that I'm not. Oh, I'm a blue belt, 59, 5'11", and weigh about 255 lbs (though steadily losing weight). I just started BJJ again after a 13 year layoff due to a knee replacement (no longer an issue) and "life". Any pointers/principles/concepts would be a great help! Thanks!
@BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU Жыл бұрын
Cool what kind of guard are you trying to play?
@GlueFactoryBJJ Жыл бұрын
@@BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU Either starting from closed guard (or similar, if I can't actual lock my feet) or some variation of butterfly guard. Regardless of which, I'm getting passed, at the least to half guard and flattened or to side control. It's really frustrating because I know I'm missing something I should be doing. The only "positive" is I'm getting a lot of chances to work on side control escapes. 😉🥴

I like what I see on your videos, but it is different when you are actually doing it with a strong opponent, you never know how they will defend themselves, I tried the cross sleeve, but I am not strong enough to hold it. what to do in those occasions.
