My favorite tip is the floating floors from two triangle pieces. I use those all the time! Extra tip, with the addition of horizontal pillars, you can make regular square floors float as long as they're connected to a horizontal pillar. One horizontal pillar can make 6 square floors float!

Not sure if I should hate you or not. I'm nearly done the first part of chapter 3. Like you, my floors are 1 1/2 floors. But I didn't know about the triangles giving more supported area. I also liked the 3x3 storage. Mine are currently stacked 7 high on either side of a pillar. I also had no idea you could put the sprinkler up half a floor to get more coverage. Now I want to scrap my raft and completely rebuild, which means starting over. Seriously, lots of good tips. As for my tip, you can put a fence around your anchor hole so you don't walk into the hole. I also make a little well house for the anchor. I also found that you can use more than one engine control on your ship. Currently I have one by the receiver and another one by my anchor since I only have the first reusable anchor. Makes it much easier to drop anchor and stop the engines.

Great vid! I came back to Raft after about a year to play the final chapter and restarted the game. Had no idea you could do floating platforms with the triangles, my old raft looked terrible with all the beams. The new horizontal pillar they added helps a lot with that too.

If you like the four chests on the wall, but don't like how the one on the floor looks different, you can mount to bottom chest as low on the wall as possible, making it look like it's on the floor, but still having all chests look the same.

My goto storage is two walls facing eachother. Stack 4 chests on each and you have a nice, compact 8 chests in one square. For bonus points you can hide the cests behind a door. It makes opening the chests a little bit harder though because you tend to close the door instead.

@@Alidove_ I do not claim credit. I found it on someone else's channel. Idk who came up with it originally. I did find a more compact way to put smelters. Whole walls side by side, use short posts in front and put floors on top. It's like a smelter shelf! Can have smelters on top and bottom. On my raft, I put 4 walls side by side and have smelters on both sides of the wall. Then, on each end, I have 2 shelf spaces as described earlier. These I've used for all the smelter goodies.

Ngl when I first started playing raft I just put whatever chests I could, wherever I could. It wasn't even a straight line, I ended up making a weird semi-circle of haphazardly placed chests wherever I could (but still in the middle of my raft, of course.) I, of course, only had that going on when I hadn't started remodeling my raft and whatnot >but< regardless I wanted to share my little beginner chest set up, unsure if that makes you more disappointed or the same level of disappointment lmao. I had already started wall mounting them during the remodel but seeing the ways you've shown will definitely improve what I've done! :o I was really here for the walls bit because the 1 full wall bit was annoying me but I needed more help with tips and tricks on that, but all of these were greatly helpful. Also, didn't realize you could put tables on walls :o Thank you for the video

I've been messing a little around with pipes, and to get them through walls i add a gate, and then have a half wall over it. Because then i can add a pipe there when the gate is open and still be able to close the gate. Dunno if this is helpful or not or if there's a better way for that matter x)

@TwiztedAngel0172 ай бұрын
@RussSchampers yes, I just tested it yesterday. You still need to place the initial support beam to start the build of the upper floor, recommend to just do the 3 blocks high per floor so you can run the pipes underneath at a later time to save a headache and rebuild in mid game. Nets....that is all 🤣

They build in creative mode.
@toddabbott7812 жыл бұрын
They added vertical pillars and those can stretch out as far as you want without support. So build a shell with pillars every 2 squares around the outside of you boat and then close in the top with a cage made out of vertical pillars. Then you can fill in walls and floors as normal. Enclose you plants inside to protect from birds. You can not mount the planters on the wall though. Windows do not effect this and you have to have a door, but it does not matter if it is open or closed. You also need a roof but it can be flat or peaked and wood or palm... it does not matter. You can also put planter boxes on top of grass. As long as there is a little bit showing the animals can still eat the grass. They can not walk on the planter boxes and their AI pathing SUCKS so keep the planter boxes along the walls around the outside edge of the room. You can actually build a 3x3 room with 9 grass plots, and 6 medium or small planter boxes. With a peaked roof you can also put a normal ceiling down the middle with 3 bee hives up there. You need 12 flower to make 3 honey every 8 minutes. Those flowers can support any number of beehives as long as they are close enough. this is is more than enough to handle 6 animals too, but I just do one of each. The advanced planter boxes (bought at the vender) work great too. You can also make a little 1x1 closet and put 4 on each side wall in there... and even put a door on it if you want. That is 8 medium chests or 160 spaces of storage per cube. You can still open the chests from the side. There is a new refrigerator that holds about the same as a large storage. I put only finished recipe food in there like the cook pot meals and smoothies. I then do a large storage as a pantry. Then an electric grill, smoothie machine and cooking pot all fit into a 3x3 room with the refrigerator and large storage. There are also wind chimes and hanging spices you can buy from the new vending machines on the last island. The refrigerator is bought from the vender for 6 cubes (about 180 plastic, palm leaves, or feather fed into the recycler). I like the rough wood and no paint look of my raft and keep it small. I have everything nicely laid out and not cramped at all on a 57 square raft (there is also a counter you can buy at the trader). I have a 3x3 bedroom with a fire place, night stand, shelf, desk and wardrobe (bought from the vender). I have a2x3 bathroom with books, flowers, toilet, and bathtub. I have a 3x3 kitchen. I have 10 tree plots and my garden house on the top deck with the engine controls, steering wheel, radar, wind turbine, and sails. The engine room has 12 storage boxes, a couch, the recycler, smelter, water pump, bio-fuel generator, bio-fuel tank, engine, and bathroom in a 5x7 room with the new anchor in the middle. Everything is all upgraded and there are lights, decorations, and collectables EVERYWHERE. It does not look crowded at all. Best of all I only need one engine. I even have 9 collection nets in front. I live this design. I am not into huge boats. Some people blow parts 600 squares easy.

@Phantom-iv7lb11 ай бұрын
So a funny thing I found out while I was making the storage using the table on the wall. If you break the wall supporting the table after placing the chests you get the table back but it leaves the chests floating so if you want you can make a chest pyramid. In my case I accidentally made an upside down pyramid.
