Regarding malocclusion and cavities, I was born in 1948. I remember that every day when I got home from school, my mother would have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies or oatmeal cookies or some other sweet, as well as a sugary drink. for me. I understand that it was the way that she showed her love. But it is no wonder that I have had (and now removed) four root canaled teeth and hundreds of cavities throughout my life. I now have no lower molars and am missing several upper ones as well. I've been carnivore for the past 27-months. In that time my gum disease has gone away and I no longer get cavities. My dentist is puzzled as to why this is. It saddens and enrages me to think of the untold millions of people who have suffered the ravages of sugar and carbs.

I was born in the same year as you, and yep, home from school, always biscuits ( I'm English,so biscuits, not cookies to me 😊) or there would be sugar sandwiches! Two months on carnivore, haven't seen much change yet, but there's decades of eating badly to fix!

Sugar itself does not cause cavities. It's bad oral hygiene or poor oral hygiene habits. Also acidic foods like bread. But sugar in itself do not cause cavities.

You said "no wonder" as if what you ate as a child had something to do with the root canals and hundreds of cavities you've had as an adult. It's been a long time since we've been warned about junk food.

I was assaulted by 4 men in 2019 & had my nose broke in 3 different parts. When I had my scheduled surgery I accidentally ate *being the young dumb high schooler I was* & for some odd reason my doctor told me I’d have to wait a year to get it fixed. Then the pandemic started & long story short I couldn’t get it fixed until almost 3 years later. This caused a plethora of autoimmune diseases. Achy joints, poor oral health, mouth breathing, digestive issues etc. Mind you guys I was a healthy high school graduate who was in great shape. I began feeling inflammation in my brain which caused me so much more stress I started doing my own research. Began carnivore June 1st & in just a week I feel.. better. Everything this man is talking about in relation to bad breathing relates to me. Thank you guys so much for dropping knowledge like this & the carnivore diet which can be literally life saving.

I no longer have periodontal disease or gingivitis since being on a strict carnivore diet as of August 7th 2023. I used to over eat on the S.A.D. diet while binge drinking, so I really punished my gums with all the acidic, sugary and artificial foods. Brushing and flossing alone wasn't enough to reverse the damage until I eliminated everything except clean healthy meat and butter. My gums and teeth are in the best shape they've ever been in and I'm 45!❤

SO GLAD to see this!! More people need to learn about this. My own personal findings with mewing due to my sleep apnea which is due to my under developed jaw and small airway are what lead to start thinking about eating more meat and really digging into what our ancestors ate because they had perfect jaws and perfect teeth. Mewing also lead me to work on posture overall and made me think about barefoot shoes. I can never go back to wearing regular shoes and I love how comfortable my feet are these days. My feet skeletal structure is correcting itself now that my feet have room to be as they are. I need to work harder on mewing, mouth taping during the day and eventually night if my sinuses will ever let me do it without further inhibiting air intake due to how stuffed up I get. I love how much better my walking gait is and how mewing, barefoot shoes and carnivore are directly and indirectly helping my overall posture and overall skeletal system to improve. Our ancestors had diet, and moccasins/shoes/barefoot walking right. I would love if there were a support group for myofascial exercises, myofascial challenges, nose breathing/mewing, troubleshooting and feedback etc. Hope this brings a lot more attention to mewing and helps a lot of people.

After having my second daughter, my teeth rapidly decayed due to extremely low levels of calcium and vitamin D. I started taking supplements and even spent $50 on toothpaste, which helped but was expensive. I was still getting sick often. I've been on the carnivore diet for almost a month now, starting on the 16th. The first couple of weeks were tough with diarrhea, but the benefits have been clear: my skin is clear, I have little to no gas, my bowel movements are easier, I have more energy, and there's no swelling. I was previously on blood pressure medication that caused severe leg swelling. Despite working out, the swelling persisted until I came across Dr. Berg's advice on juicing melons for potassium. This helped reduce my water retention significantly. Since starting the carnivore diet, I've lost 15 pounds and noticed improved energy levels. Consuming gluten now makes me sick, as evidenced by an incident after drinking a beer. My skin rash flared up, and I got sick. The carnivore diet seems to be working, as the scale keeps going down. I'm feeling more satiated, getting proper hunger cues, and not constantly controlling calories. This diet has helped me better understand my body's needs.

My gums and teeth have gotten a thousand percent better since going carnivore. Not only is my breath now neutral, even after eating, but there are no bits of food stuck in my teeth ever, no bleeding during brushing or flossing, and no more "soft" teeth. In addition, gas goes away. Now the only burps come from drinking water too fast, and virtually none of the other kind of gas. Gas is most often the result of waste, none of which we really produce anymore when consuming animal fats and proteins as we can absorb 100% of the nutrients.

I've been fully carnivore for a month now - in no small part thanks to miss SBG - and the changes in a mere 30 days are more than enough to encourage me to keep going. - My skin cleared up - Sugar addiction is GONE - Menstrual cycle appears to have straightened out already 😯 But we'll see! - My exercise-induced athsma has lessened, I can jog for several minutes without getting wheezy at all - I'm sleeping sooner and harder, often waking up at 5am feeling great (my alarm goes off at 6:30!) - I NEED breakfast...eating in the morning used to nauseate me, I'd have coffee with a bit of cream and not eat until 1-2pm. Now I have a bit of coffee with a good glug of cream, and at least a couple of eggs before I do any work, otherwise I'm weak and shaky 😅 - My teeth & gums are definitely healthier, less plaque and very little bleeding when I floss now I'm still waiting on a serious reduction in joint pain; both hips, most of my back, and one shoulder have been injured and are easily inflamed. I'm also supplementing with iodine, magnesium, and D3/K2 to aid with healing. Sounds like I need to get some vitA as well! I had braces for FOUR YEARS as a teen, my kids' teeth are pretty crooked and we're practicing "mewing" for improved tongue posture and palette width.

Sally Fallon, who wrote the book, Nourishing Traditions, is who brought Dr. Price’s work back into circulation in the 1990’s. I heard her speak at the Detroit Waldorf School years ago. Powerful information indeed. I also had a Mennonite cookbook in the 1970’s that talked about Dr. Price’s work in the introduction. Lost to the mainstream but definitely not to the fringe! I also have a spectacular doctor and totally believe in supplementation so I really haven’t had a sick day in my life. Eat animal products and consider supplements if you need to. Just beginning keto/working to carnivore at age 75. Watching this is enlightening in several ways. i had gum disease about 10 years ago and lost teeth and now wear dentures. At that time, I was ignorant of the effects on my heart and blood pressure. Then several years after that, had a retinal vein occlusion and nearly lost sight in that eye. Led to getting on CPAP since blood pressure spikes while sleeping with apnea caused vein occlusion. Finally, last year while being sedated for cataract surgery in that same eye, several anesthesiologists could not stop commenting on the smallness of my mouth inside! Putting all this together, I can now see the connections between small mouth cavity my whole life and gum disease to heart and blood pressure issues and eye damage and apnea! Wish I could have learned these lessons in the opposite direction. Hoping this carnivore direction will finally help heal the high blood pressure which is commonly in the 150s over 90.

This is great! Weston A. Price did amazing research, I've been aware of him and The Weston A. Price Foundation which has chapters around the country. Sally Fallon-Morrell did a great job overall creating the foundation. She brought the food movement forward in so many ways, she emphasized Raw Organic Grass Fed dairy, Grass Fed meat and Raw Grass Fed liver, some Raw meat dishes, and that animal foods should be the main part of the diet. She emphasized high quality fats, like Raw Organic Summer butter because it's higher in factor x (vitamin k2). She emphasized fermented foods like Kefir, Sauerkraut, Kombucha, and Sourdough breads. Also, the foundation is against all vaxxes. These foods changed the landscape of health food and health food stores. However, there are many reasons her diet doesn't work for many people anymore, which is why many are turning to Carnivore, including myself. After 3 years of Carnivore, I'm more KetoVore now. One of the reasons I believe the Weston A. Price diet doesn't work anymore is that GMOs have effected Organic foods, they don't obey property lines, the pollen moves around, so it effects all plants around it. Plants were probably never ideal foods for humans but now it's worse. The foundation has changed a lot, they don't emphasize some key foods like Raw meat and raw dairy, now it just needs to be Grass-Fed and Organic nor do they emphasize raw kefir anymore. Also, raw liver is one of the best sources of vitamin A, and the sun is one of the best sources of vitamin D3, and raw cheese is one of the best sources of vitamin K2. Many other things have changed in the foundation, too long to list. It's an uphill battle with food. People should be aware that very soon, all livestock will be getting MRNA jabs, which people will be ingesting. I suggest for understanding check out their website, they are a wealth of knowledge. Also, Pottengers Cat's book is the study he mentioned with cats, in it was a study of children being given raw dairy which helped the facial and teeth alignment. I don't think he was long winded, he just has lot of information to share. I know for myself, I tried to keep this comment short, I realize I didn't succeed.

I'm on Team Carnivore and doing great. This guy is on our team, so ... I hate to say this, but he's all over the place. And much of what he says is not backed by science or necessarily real. He's stating so many things as fact which are not fact. They are opinions. You can try them sure - maybe they will help. Let's start with Price. The man observed some fascinating stuff. On some things he was right. On other things, it looks like he was pure nut-sack madness. Anyone who today is a Price fan - I'm suspicious, highly so, of them. It's one thing to say "Price made some bad mistakes but on this he was right" - vs - "Price was amazing blah blah blah", which is what Lin seems to be saying. Watch out. Jack Kruse is a cranky nut imho. He may be right here and there, but imho he uses far, far too much sophistry (rhetorical attacks) - and is possibly a con artist or something untrustworthy. Sure, his supporters point to how he was "right" on this and that. "Psychics" who make hundreds, thousands of "predictions" and then, over time, turn out to be "right" on a few of them claim they are magic. It's just a statistical ploy perhaps. Be critical. This dentist wouldn't last three seconds in a discussion with Bart Kay. Again, he's on our team, yes. I feel terrible saying these things, but we have to question _everything_. Including and especially this sort of stuff. He may be right about needing more D and K2. And other things. But his fast-talking "aha this explains all" talk ... highly, highly suspicious.

As a young teenager, I had "tongue therapy" as a part of my orthodontic treatment. This was back in the mid-70s, and I think my orthodontist was way ahead of his time! I don't know how many other orthodontists were doing it at that time, or if any of them recommend tongue therapy nowadays? His theory was that if the patient continues to swallow improperly (thrusting the tongue against the upper front teeth), after the braces come off the teeth will be pushed back into a crooked position. I feel fortunate that I received this kind of proper orthodontic care!

By any chance was your dad also eating a lot of high oxalate vegetables like spinach, eating a lot of almonds (high in oxalate), or lots of sweet potatoes also high in oxalate. Oxalate collects in the body and binds with calcium. This can lead to kidney stones in some people.

Then, there's the idiom, "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger". You know. Like 'immunities'? We didn't get this far as humans by not eating stuff that will benefit our optimum health and survival via experimentation, trial and error. Sugar is sweet but too much will kill you. Brussel sprouts are bitter but too much of those will kill you too. Nutrients come in all forms, tastes and flavors. Too much or too little of certain sources of nutrients can kill you. Poisons in PPM are found everywhere on the planet. Should we go witch hunting every source of acquired foods over the past several thousand years to discover which ones will be sure to kill us the fastest? Personally, I haven't reached that level of OCD. Let's not throw the proverbial baby out with the bathwater here. Because anything can be proven 'antinutrient' [toxic] in more or lesser amounts. Not everybody can afford to eat ribeyes only. Besides, we're not all athletes and that diet could be extremely boring. Humans are far more imaginative than that. That said, is a 100% carnivore lifestyle (not diet) appropriate for every human on the planet? And, what are the most scientifically proven medications derived from? Plants or animals? Questions I've found no answers to yet... I dare say that the jury is still out on an absolute appropriate, optimum human diet. IOW, we're all a work in progress and there is still too little learned in our endeavor for perfect health. I can testify however that, a forward looking, positive mental attitude is the #1 attribute to optimum health. And, that great music is a component for healing what ails you.🎼🎹🎸🎷🎻🎺

I like to think that most people that find their way to these restrictive diets/ supplements /lifestyle changes is about getting back to a baseline through time and persistence. Eventually discovering what works and what doesn't and proceeding forward. You mention a positive attitude, but some people are incapable of maintaining that for one reason or another. "A healthy soul resides in a sound mind inside of a sound body" You put a saxophone on in the background and my DNA will start dancing. Definitely agree that finding the music or instrument that speaks to you is very important.

So now I’m doing Beef tallow. I eat beef, lamb, pastured eggs and salt and water. Lady carnivore doc (can’t remember name) out of Australia says that women need to eat more animal fats to lessen/cure menopause symptoms: Dr. Brownstein out of Michigan says we need more iodine. So, I’m now taking more iodine, eating more animal fats and just started taking a Vitamin A supplement. I guess my question is, “ How long before I start healing?” It seems I’m still doing something wrong but I don’t know what? So frustrating!!

Eat when you think about getting hungry. Make it a time when you can actually sit and eat properly. It doesn't have to be a full plate. I'm in my 70s, I can't eat these huge steaks etc. So my usual day of eating is probably about 10am I will have a couple of rashers of bacon. Then around 2pm a small steak, I feel snacky at 6pm so have a couple of eggs. Then no more food until next day, its a way of fasting. As long as overall you're not undereating (traditionally thought of as not having enough "calories"), you eat whenever you're hungry. For me, fatty meats help ensure that. When the meats are too lean, I add butter, or add dairy (milk, cream, cheese). As long dairy doesn't bother you. I may also add some eggs or fatty pork belly. Some beef are too fatty for me flavor-wise (eg short plate), I have to stick it in the fridge so I can enjoy the fat cold. It really all depends on what's making you gag. Maybe you could try rotating meats. You could go with seafood plus butter. Pork, both leaner and the belly parts. Add eggs if you can tolerate them.

When you're tested for your Dvit levels, they check to see how much cholecalciferol you have - how much rat poison you have in your body. Vitamins in a bottle is a scam. It's made by the same pharmaceuticals. You have to get them from your meat. Ie if they even exist.

Hi Bella, I’m a 64 year old woman. I have been carnivore for 7 months. Today I had vaginal bleeding…I haven’t had a period for many years. Can carnivore cause this to happen?
