I'm a lot more excited for this game than I was for GTA V at the time just before it's release. It's Mafia 3's setting, time era, character, the story and the mentioned differences which really makes this title stand out. It will surely have it's flaws but I for one am very excited.

I wish just once in a video game a gunshot actually feels like a gunshot. Red dead redemption did it right, so did gta 4 to a lesser extent. I really want a game where you shoot someone in the shoulder, leg, or whatever and depending where exactly you hit them they are either incapacitated, damn near, or dead. Why is that hard? Does that make the game too easy? No, because you could add challenge by MAKING THE SAME RULES APPLY TO THE PLAYER. Too often do we see player characters act as bullet sponges, completely oblivious to the various holes that have been added to their body. But if this is the case, the AI would have to be tactical, no guns blazing BS, these computers fear for their lives and think about their loved ones before they jump over cover into immediate death. Kane and lynch 2 didn't do AI well but man you never got up in the computers face unless you wanted a game over screen quick. Just my suggestions

Have to say that Mafia 3 has peaked my interest. It looks to have captured the era in terms of the visual style perfectly, and adding in the race element as a back story is a nice touch. are you able to just enjoy the city? like go places do things other than missions? are you able to own property and go to clothing stores? the thing I didn't like about mafia 2 was that you couldn't never really just enjoy and take in the city like forn instance in mafia 2 you enter ur house and the phone automatically rings prompting you to start the mission. I really hope in mafia 3 you are able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city and that there are things to do and engage other than main and side missions cuz once you beat the game I would still like to have fun things to do, places to go, other interactions .

6:58 That rear view tho.. Reminds me of GTA IV on an old notebook, which can run it 40fps if you disable shadows. And it turns into the same thing seen in that rear view. Or GTA:SA mods which add cars with 4K textures and huge amounts of polygons, which look weird in not so detailed city and without even proper shadows.

I can't wait! I've only heard a few songs from its soundtrack and it's already a kick ass soundtrack! It would also be really awesome if they had some Velvet Underground songs or some Stooges songs in the soundtrack to!

I know there wont be but i really would of like to see a real estate area of the game where you can purchase a house and add cars to your garage have it like a mafia's house with security around the clock on the property.. Would be pretty cool

The driving was super floaty and arcadey. Probably the weakest point. But there are two control options that change it up.

upon release they have a simulation mode that is way less forgiving in terms of the driving feature, what r yall's thoughts. I feel that it's a huge.improvement over most open world style driving
