On Walking Sims counting as games. As someone who ADORES walking sims, I think it's a grey area and it depends on the game. FireWatch? I count it as a walking sim, but it has more to do than walk and interact sometimes, so it's a game. Edith Finch? Obviously a walking sim, but it's more of an interactive storybook than a game. You move through the story, interact with objects occasion, and that's how it is. There's no real mechanics. (Nobody take that the wrong way. I love Edith Finch with all my heart, kills me every time)
