I knew you had put a lot of effort into sorting the shocks out, I am keeping an eye on these now I've half cleaned it I am wondering if they are leaking a bit, but on the bounce test they still seem to be working well

I used the arrma rebuild kit that gave you new bottom large O rings and the internal smaller ones and they worked fine...my originals were rubber not silicone. On my front ones I tried the tamiya Red shock internal O rings and they worked good no leaking so far... I was thinking wonder if you can put the traxxas X rings ones inside these shocks they have 2 spots on the O rings that seal on the shock shafts so if it worked you would get 4 sealing points in place of the stock 2 sealing points with normal O rings?

Servo tape & foam rubber padding trimmed to fit & applied to the rear shock tower brace worked perfectly for me. No more cracked tail beds! Also added a piece of black duct or gorilla tape to the lip of the bed will help with any roller scuffs. The Black tape matches perfectly even when scuffed....

The outcast & granite use the same swb chassis so the t2t brace will fit length wise it will have to be modified because the 4s body post setup locks the brace onto the shock towers.

I put the outcast 4s body on my Granite mega v3 that is converted. I had a GoolRC 60amp esc and the 3300kv 3660 combo. And honestly it ran amazing I put a 18t mod 1 pinion and mod 1 spur and customized the spur assy to fit. And it ran absolutely amazing faster then my blx 3s Granite that came in yesterday with my outcast 4s I got both of those yesterday :) but my mega Granite v3 4x4 with the GoolRC n 18T pinion was n is faster then both my blx 3s Granite and 4s outcast when it came to top speed. But for takeoff the outcast is slightly faster because of the smaller pinion I'm assuming plus the 2800 kv I believe that's what's in it.. the motor is slightly longer but not much. But yeah the granite body is weak the first flip it done it tore a small hole in the body where the tail gate is same place you said that was a weak place on the body. So I put the outcast body on it I'm building a Granite Outcast hybrid lol

Do you find the slop in the steering linkage an issue with the Granite 4x4s? Is there some design reasons for the slop? How would you go about removing the wheel (especially the front) slop?

I've never worried about the slop, I'm not one for putting shims in etc. Sorry not to be more help, but I've never noticed any slop as such. At speed the car handles just fine so I'm not touching the steering

The 4s vehicles have the same diffs as the 3s all plastic. The spur gear is the only steel gear in the 4s. There will be an optional upgrade steel diff gear available soon but it's not a stock part.

The outcast 4s roll bar fits. You just have to mark and drill your own holes

Liked your video and would agree that the five upgrades you mention would be nice to see on the Granite 4x4 3S BLX. I personally would not touch the electronics; I'd just go with the other upgrades. Save the money you'd spend on the electronics and just put it towards getting an Outcast 4S.

I've just got a notorious 6s v4 so I won't be getting the outcast 4s. I'm sure it's good but the 6S notorious and outcast are the same under the skin so it'd be too similar. Hope that makes sense.

Hey dude, No, not explicitly, however I think the 4S Kraton would likely work though. The reason being is because the Kraton has that centre bearing carrier on the driveshaft like the 3s Senton. Take care dude ✌🤙👊

Arrma does a lot of rolling changes. The body shell got significantly thicker for the Granite 4x4 Mega (brushed) and BLX; the body shell for my Granite Voltage (2wd brushed) is really thin compared to my Mega. What's funny is that my LHS had two Granite Megas sitting on the shelf, built about 2-3 months apart according to the S/N; one had a standard Deans connector and the other than that funky new iC3 connector that's like a cross between EC3 and XT60. 4S seems like a silly idea in this truck; it's too short. Upgrade it to the Big Rock chassis first.

Use formula mo94 to spray down your plastics. I can bend my wheelie bar all the way to the bumper and it just goes back in place.

Clear gorilla duct tape, inside and outside body. Even is you crack it, tape the inside back together. The tape has incredible glue, and has a bit of stretch to it, unlike packing tape.

I l giggled and just went along, now I know that its time to look for a new Hobby shop other than Phil's Hobby Shop in Pinellas Park, FL. Check, it out, I ASKED him if he had any upgraded shocks for the Arrma and they were trying to tell me and sell me a set of the Traxxxs Rusler shocks which don't fit the #Granite.

I know this video is over a year old, but a solution to strengthen up rear side of the body is to spray FlexSeal Clear on it from both sides of the body.

I wish they would come out with some extended body mounts... The Pro-Line bodies that fit the Stampede will fit the Granite,however the front bumper is all in the way so you have to butcher the front.. It sucks! I love painting new bodies just as much as I love bashing so it'd be nice to have more body options..

Sure good idea rich i was going buy outcast 4s and try that myself , i think they hit the mark with the granite and some of the 4s parts woukd definitely inprove it but idk with full access to all parts if you coukd top granite on these 3s chassis im sure fun factor better w 4s but not as good as 6s andcstill not as durable as the granite

the $399 outcast 6s's you may see are likely to be the V3 ones not the much improved V4 ones, hope that makes sense.

That Outcast is the V3, but it's a total smashing deal. I only had the V3 Talion, Typhon, & Kraton. At that price, it was hard not to buy 2 of them. The V4 might be improved, but it still needs upgrading just like the V3 - in all the same areas.

I 100% agree with the wheelie bar. And a lot of the suggestions are great but I think that with a lot of those changes the price will go up and people are already grumbling about the 4s lineup price. I honestly think the granite is going to go away. Reason being it is the ONLY one using the short wheelbase body. I think the big rock was a test to see if they could faze it out. I think if they changed the big rock wheels to granite put the new 4s shocks and chassis brace on the big rock that would be bad ass. In my opinion the 3s system is enough but I definitely would like to see how the old drivetrain holds up to 4s. From what ive seen the 4s cars are too heavy for the plastics. A lot of rear a arm breakages, I think done by all the added weight of the t2t and the wheels and metal components.
