Do RC 👋. Nice build ! Wow . Just today I was looking on Facebook marketplace and saw a brand new in box red and white granite v3 4x4 . $200. He said he just posted an hour ago so I drove 20 minutes and saw it was indeed bnib . He had originally bought two . I don’t like the shocks already and will check the 2.0mm screws inside the drive shafts before driving . It also says in the manual to set the esc for a lipo ? I thought they came pre set to lipo . Says it doesn’t
@DoRC6 ай бұрын
If it's a brushless granite it's definitely set for lipo from the factory.

Love the build. I'm about where you're at but I did the hr helical diffs and cases and I made a steel reinforcement plate that screws to the stock motor plate and have had any bending after 15-20 ft high air outs but I also run the rcawd driveshafts. Unfortunately they are not splined to the granite outdrives and are only held with 1 set screw. Just got done drilling and tapping 2 more set screws for the rear as I've gone through 2 sets of rear outdrives. Still only on 3s though. But I have a feeling after I get this outdrive problem dealt with it should be comfortable with 4s possibly 6. Maybe I'll have to share some vids when I get it going again. Love to see that I'm not the only one that'll put stupid money into such a cheap rig.

Yeah I've since sold that truck but it got a lot of use. It was my go-to rig for handing off the transmitter to pretty much anyone because I knew it probably wasn't going to get broken.

Maybe I've just been lucky but since I installed the aluminum plates in mind I haven't had any issues with it. A center differential upgrade would be cool but I don't think there's enough room with the current design

The body looks great, reminds me a little of a skateboard deck I had in the mid 80's. Fun truck, sometimes it is fun to have a little beast. I did an over build on a mini revo and ran it on 4s. That thing was a little honey badger, it would just take everything. Thanks for the video.

I've done the same thing to my Kraton 4S with all of the same upgrades as you with the exception of the shocks...I went HR. But will be installing the Typhon 6s shocks this weekend. Looking at it with all of the upgrades I feel proud of it convincing myself that it can keep up with the 6S rigs LOL.

@@2morrowMuggins they don't make one specifically for the 3s line but I know they make ones that are compatible. I've never actually purchased any of them. It would probably be best to ask in one of the arrma groups on Facebook as I'm sure plenty of people have that information and I don't want to guess and give you the wrong part number

Great build 🤩 👍 Almost all upgrades possible. I think that CustomRCupgrades makes some parts for Arrma 3s/4s too, chassis bar, titanium skidates... My Kraton 4s is sometimes annoying, I don't like slipper clutch and steering, but these are probably the best cars for beginners 🙂 🚀

All that money put into it and my vortex 3s stock out of the box is faster the money you put inside car it doesn't really the only judge maybe 15 ft I mean it doesn't hurt as much power same as cars out there that you can buy for what it cost
@DoRC2 жыл бұрын
The point wasn't really to make the truck fast. It's a monster truck not really a speed run car. The point was to make it super durable and have fun along the way both things I accomplished :-) that being said in these kinds of projects aren't for everyone.
